Re: 5 GUARANTEED SPOTS LEFT FOR THE NFBC MAIN EVENT!!
We added 3 more Main Event signups this afternoon and now have 385 teams in the Main Event. St. Louis is sold out the First Weekend. It's obvious with the breakdown that something is going to have to give, so let's keep taking the signups until 390 and then make a call. Don't delay if you want to be part of the guranteed first 390 owners. Thanks all.

Re: 3 GUARANTEED SPOTS LEFT FOR THE NFBC MAIN EVENT!!
It's been another great week for signups and we're now down to THREE guaranteed spots for the Main Event. We're not shutting anything off but don't forget only the first 390 signups are GUARANTEED spots so if you want to join the fun NOW is the time to sign up.

Re: ONE GUARANTEED SPOT LEFT FOR THE NFBC MAIN EVENT!!
We now have ONE guaranteed spot remaining for the Main Event. We plan to go beyond 390 teams so registration won't end now but again only the first 390 teams are GUARANTEED to get a spot in the event. So who wants the FINAL GUARANTEED SPOT?

By going past 390 teams, what does that do to the prize pool? Not sure why you would take the premier event and increase the particpants.

As with years past, they will try to even out the participants so that we have full leagues for each events per city.Outlaw wrote:By going past 390 teams, what does that do to the prize pool? Not sure why you would take the premier event and increase the particpants.

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Believe me Ken, I would be all over this grand entrance opportunity if I hadn't already signed up for both weekends.Sack wrote:This spot has GLENNERATION X written all over it!

Besides, I'd be seriously surprised if signups didn't continue until we at least broke the 400 mark and beyond.

Re: ONE GUARANTEED SPOT LEFT FOR THE NFBC MAIN EVENT!!
alright boys give Greg a present and make this easy for him...
3 on the fence for vegas the first weekend get in. It is for those of you who are not quite the animal of wanting to draft in a room with 11 other leagues like Vegas can be.
I love Greg and have no idea why he chose Mahtahwhhh NJ- 4 of you bail him out and get in for there. Heck 50/50 you do not even draw Jupinka.
Online first weekend- I know we have 4- 2nd weekend veterans who want a 2nd team, but the old lady will not let you be away 2 weekends in a row or go to Vegas at all....
Now for 2nd weekend
11 of you me included will be jonesing for a 2nd team after a first weekend live event get in now and stop fooling yourself.
2 more Chicago people- is this not the point where you just call the Kleeman residence and you suddenly have 5 more signups you just need two...
6 more Vegas/NY guys and make the big guy mad that he has to set up a phone.
Can we get him to 420 by next Friday with one little old phone hookup and everyone have draft slots well in advance.

Well, if they continue, it needs to go to 405 then maybe 420;

I'm pretty sure we hit 435 two years ago, so certainly doable. Hell, why not 450?Lunatic wrote:Well, if they continue, it needs to go to 405 then maybe 420;

Re: 400+ Teams Now In The NFBC Main Event
Well, it's been an amazing run for the NFBC's Main Event and we're not quite done yet. But we can definitely see the finish line and this week we hope to get there.
A sellout this year -- our 8th straight -- was 390 teams. We hit that earlier this week and pushed further because the first and second weekends didn't fill perfectly. Once we hit 390 teams I could see that a perfect split was 420 teams and we decided to go for it. Now I can safely say that we are shooting for 420 teams and at that point WE ARE DONE!! Great job everyone and thanks.
We are officially at 405 teams, but this fluctuates as we run credit cards. Sorry, but sometimes the payment isn't there for someone who has signed up and we move back at the same time we're moving forward. We went from 90 Main Event teams in Las Vegas the Second Weekend to 87 back to 88 and then 89 on the same day this week. So things are still fluid.
But here's the count for the Mains:
5 spots left for Saturday, March 24th
10 spots left for Saturday, March 31st
Saturday, March 24:
41 teams in Las Vegas
15 teams in St. Louis
27 teams in Mahwah
62 teams Online
The goal is to sell out Mahwah and St. Louis and hook up Las Vegas and Online (fingers crossed
)
Saturday, March 31
89 teams in Las Vegas (1 spot left)
75 teams in New York (5 full leagues)
30 teams in Chicago (2 full leagues)
66 teams Online (9 spots left)
We'll see how the second weekend plays out, but I'm all for full leagues EVERYWHERE. Let's see if we can do it.
In all, 15 spots left. Time to end this event when we get to 420 teams and move on. Thanks everyone.
KDS preferences are due for First Weekend Main this Wednesday at 9 am ET. Draft spots will be announced Friday late afternoon.
KDS preferences are due for Second Weekend Main on Wednesday, March 21st at 9 am ET. Draft spots will be announced Friday, March 23rd. Good luck all and THANKS.
