I find the e-mails for each pick annoying. They do nothing in letting me know I'm up or not. Really, just a bunch of emails to delete and I've talked with Greg about a way to give us the choice whether we receive these or not.
Instead of these e-mails, wouldn't it be better when after drafter one picks, an auto text is sent to drafter two, and after drafter two picks, an autotext to drafter three, etc.
I'm not a tech guy, but this would certainly be a step in the right direction.
Call me crazy Dan, but I actually like receiving these emails. If I'm out walking the dog and thinking about my next pick, it's helpful to know if the players I'm targeting are being drafted. Then I can figure out Plan B and be ready to pick when it's my turn without holding things up. I also like the dramatic aspect of checking to see if I'm dodging all the bullets to get my guy. Of course, I have no problem with adding the ability to opt out of these emails for those who actually have a life...
YOU'RE CRAZY!
Hey, you asked
I do believe that this is a help to some. At the same time, technolgy has evolved enough that email alerts are 'passing their prime'.
A pleasure drafting and auctioning with you, Mark.
I hope our paths cross again.

I totally rely on these emails to follow the draft, to see who is picked, and basically to monitor where we are in the the draft and when my pick is coming up. For whatever that's worth. Anyways, that's how I keep up during these DC's.

All good.
We should have the option to keep receiving them or not.

The pleasure is all mine Dan. Maybe we can cross paths at a Rockies game some day.

I would love the option to put in your worst enemies email address...someone who hates baseball like an ex wife or girlfriend. Let them get 750 updates on how your draft is going....while using your real email address for other NFBC correspondence

Just a heads up that we will have a new product for these FAST DCs in the next week on Registration. We will likely just call them 4-Hour $150 Draft Champions and they will be at the bottom of the listings for now. Going forward we will create a pull down within the $150 DC listings, but the new product listing will allow these to start sooner.
The FAST DC that started 2 days ago is already in Round 39 and those guys were banging out a round per hour for the first 24 hours. Great job guys and for some owners this is the way to do these. Soon we'll have three options of drafting in a DC: 8-hour leagues, 4-hour FAST leagues, and the DC Express Leagues. Thanks for the suggestions all.

is there an active signup for a "fast/slow" league currently? I would be interested if we could get it going for this weekend

Real nice draft....
Another excellent drafting experience with a mixture of old and new players. Draft done over the course of parts of three days or three weeks? No contest. Once you do one of these at this pace, you'll never want to do another "slow draft" again. The clock, whether set at an 8 hour or 4 hour time limit for player picks, should never come into play. The spirit of the competition and the intention of like-minded participants coming together with an understanding of the commiment needed to make these drafts be fun, fast, and entertaining for all involved is what will make this format work.
