-I have had 4 very good starts from Morrow and Scherzer and no wins
-L. Martin, Marte, C. Gomez, Pompey,.. no steals

Get me to period 4!

Are you sure it's not time to J.E.T.S. Jets, Jets, Jets? (JUST-END-THE-SEASON)

To add to the season of misery.. I have James Paxton on both my NFBC teams... it was a treat to see the official scorer change an error to a hit and suddenly Paxton had his era jump from 5.40 to 8.40...

I guess the reports late in spring training that Joe Nathans velocity was up and his command and movement was on point can explain to why his elbow blew up... Glad I picked him and took Ervin Santana right before Soria went so I could handcuff Nathan. Hard to believe I left the draft with 3 closers and have one save so far...

Jose Fernandez needs to get back before July!

Sat Chris Young and Wilmer Flores this period.
Why???

Fair warning...I'm tired of Gattis and his .109 and 21 K's
I'm sitting him.

He'll go off this weekend.

Cold players always go off as soon as you sit them on your bench. It is an unwritten rule of fantasy baseball  . Personally, I resisted the urge to sit Marte and he has been on fire lately. I like to wait at least 100 AB's before benching a top player that I drafted. If they have not shown signs of life by then there may be a reason for the bad start( such as undisclosed injury) and would bench them for a little while at that point. Yes, in the NFBC it is hard to be patient when your team is crumbling.

Actually, neither of those 2 teams are in the crumble mode yet. Right in the thick of things (as thick as you can get in week 3), which may make it more frustrating.

I'm waiting for a sign from the baseball gods for a final Gattis decision.

I was going to sit Lind vs. Cardinal pitchers this wekend until he goes 3-4 with a HR today. Sheesh. Now what?
Meantime...Young--back in the lineup. Flores--back in the line up. I know...a combined 2 for 24 for the weekend.

I have already whined about my drafting of Cishek, Allen and Nathan as my three closers... we saw what Cishek did the other night again..

My new venting misery subject is this... I know Ubaldo Jimenez is not a starter that can be trusted no matter how good his recent starts may be. But he had a two start week and I rolled the dice with him. His first start was against a very beatable Noesi. I also had Samardzija as a two start play. Thanks to the animals rioting in Baltimore both their starts got cancelled and now they will be facing each other tomorrow making it impossible I get wins from both...

It has been a lovely season... At least I snagged Axford in faab and he is can't miss... right guys? Totally dependable!

You remind me of Amerigo Bonasera calling the thugs that raped and beat his daughter "animals" in a conversation with Don Correleone. You want justice too right (against these looters and rioters?)?

1. Saltalamachia designated for assignment.
2. Archie Bradley hit in face with line drive, exits game after one inning

And on and on it goes

You are locked and loaded, bro. I would pencil him in for at least and average of 1.5 saves a week with one win a month for the rest of the year.

Unless he gets traded to Baltimore...

Well, after the floaters that Teheran and Nelson laid on me earlier this week, THANK GOD I had my Ace, Chris Sale, going last night to make EVERYTHING better...

Was facing Sale in the DFS last night head-to-head.....I thought I was in trouble with the way things were going for me until they had that big inning against Sale. Any other Sale start, I probably lose a close game there.

THIS post is what this thread is for. Now while I feel bad for Edward Kings, we get reminded others get hammered too. It is makes you feel better, I benched Hutchenson for his gem last week and played him this week when he got rocked. I also benched Morrow and Eovaldi this week for their gems and played Nelson.

What happened to these boards? The simple disrespect of this thread is disgusting. This is our new year-long injury and complaining thread for the season. These boards are falling on bad times. Wake up and show this thread respect and keep it at the top.

Ok so I draft Khris Davis for his 20+ homers and a few ribbies, I think through yesterday he either struck out or flew out weakly to right in 60 something consecutive at-bats....I played him ALL FRICKIN' YEAR!!! I sit him this weekend, he immediately goes 4-5 with a homer and three ribs. Wait and see what he does tonight  #%*+!?x$&

Did the same....except I sat Betts last week and played Davis. Lost those 3 HRs.
Now I replace Davis with Betts and lose this!

Another Khris Davis update(not to be confused with Jhonny Peralta)...Saturday, 3-3 with 2 runs, 3 rbi's. Today he will go 5-5 with 4 homers at which time I will re-insert him into my lineup and he will proceed to go 2-26 for the week with 13 k's.
Effing amazing

I hope those who want to mock it leave it alone. It is just a fun threat to read and (hopefully seldom) participate in. We all run into disasters and reading misfortunes of others can be a reminder everyone deals with it.

I wondered about Khris Davis and if many people had him on the bench this week. I have benched Hutchenson for 2 of his great starts and have had him in for ever catastrophic start. Misery

Yimi Garcia. 15 of our 24 teams. People drop him, I add him. Starved for saves, he has been elite ratio protector if nothing else. Dominates Stanton to start the inning and then that really happened? I hate fantasy baseball. Always have. No idea why I keep playing it.

While I am venting, there is this. One would think I was overkilling the pitching a bit going Kershaw, Strasburgh, Sale to start right? I was careful not to take it for granted and lose the edge, so I grabbed Teheran. Got a mediocre closers and then got Walker and Anibal Sanchez and then Lackey and Collmenter a while later who was a one week double start play. At the quarter pole my ERA is over 5 and the whip a primetime worst 1.51. Not sure how that is even possible.

Too bad we can't trade pitching I got. If someone has a worse offense I would have to see it. Nothing beats that 3 for 53 day for fun.

Chad - a big 3 of Kershaw - Strasburg - Sale should have your team near the top of the league in pitching.
THAT is the worst luck I've ever seen with a pitching heavy rotation. Things should begin to balance out as more games are played, so hang in there.

As for the ? of why do we keep playing fantasy baseball..... we play it because we are all risk takers at our core. It's just something that has to be done. LOL

OK. I will quit bitching because I only have Sale and Teheran. That is brutal brother. Look both ways before crossing the street...twice. Luck is definitely not with you right now.

I was about to come here again and whine about Cishek ruining my world... but I can't imagine having those stud SP's and have their start. I must admit Strasburg and Sale were guys I was targeting and they were picked right before me. I never had a draft position higher than 6 so Kershaw wasn't on my radar. I am sure it will even out. I was going to come here and complain about how Samardzjia is crushing me especially when I have guys like Hutchenson, Jiminez and Nelson on my bench when they pitch great and in lineup when they get rocked.

As for why we play fantasy baseball... it is because we get daily action... and the second the miserable nights stop bothering us or hurting that is when you should stop playing. Today is another day... hopefully things get better.
