This a PM or in person? I am clear where I stand with you as well. You are the type that plays Padilla. I am the type that would leave him in. You are the type that makes up bullshit. You cannot possibly buy a championship around here. That is so stupid you are making a fool of yourself. I appreciate the fact that your perception of my skill is far greater than my perception though, and I also appreciate the fact that I am in your head so much. 3 people out of every classic league go through to the playoff. So even if I was godlike, I would have 1 in 3 chance of winning it if I am in every league, which I am not going to be in. So it is obviously more bullshit. When you start getting your ass handed to you in a debate, you go to the lyiing slanderous type of shit that I don't stand for. The first time I met you, I told you that your actions with Padilla were bullshit. Unlike you, I will tell you what I post to your face, because I don't lie. I sent Mark a pm so hopefully we can carry this on in that manner. As long as he quits lying, he can have the last word on here. I am in his head so bad, he will need that.Gekko wrote:I think it's clear where I stand with you. Quality gamer (who tries to "buy" championships) and a POS on the MB and likely in real life. Re: Dissolved League - Integrity & Acountability
Back to the issue at hand that Mark is trying hIs best to derail for one reason or another.
Correct me if I am wrong on any of these items.
1. There was a disbanded league filled with a bunch of frauds. We don't know how many, but appears to be somewhere in between 6 and 11.
2. The ringleader of that band of frauds has been accused of fraud in his business dealings many times as well.
3. This disbanded league filled way in advance of other leagues that went off around this draft date. Basing this on the league number.
4. Bryan Propst (Cool Guys) somehow managed to be in this particular disbanded league that happened to fill well in advance.
5. Bryan Propst does not bring this fraudulent league to anyone's attention even though he has a team battling with this fraud from the disbanded league for the overall championship.
6. Bryan Propst happens to be in another league, his only other one than the disbanded one.
7. Bryan is 2nd overall in that particular league.
8. There are 3 owners that seem to have some sort of link to Byran, on the basis of appearing in his leagues.
9. 2 of these particular fellas have only played in one league each year. Bryan happened to be in both of them. The other played a couple others last year but only 1 this year, and also it just happened to be the same one as Bryan and the other two guys.
10. None of these three other fellas have been stellar, or even mediocre competition.
11. One of these three felt the need to change his name for some reason since the draft. Not team name. Actual name.
That the jist of it? If so, there are far too many random things happening here to pass the bullshit test from my perspective. How does Bryan just amazingly end up in two leagues where there are a fraudulent set of siblings in two states, as well as another league two years in a row with the same three guys who basically only play one league? Bryan only plays 2. If you play 2 leagues and there are questions about both, and one was obviously fraudulent, it does not pass the bullshit test. I am sorry, but there are far too many coincidences here to call it a day and not really dig deeper into this. Should start by checking the payments of these three other guys. How did they pay? What is IP address of those making moves? Where do these guys live? Is it a possibility that Bryan is creating guys from the land of make believe to play against? I would say based on what is laid out, it needs to be considered a possibility. And that possibility should be looked at extremely closely. You are not allowed to multi enter leagues. These questions and probably about 50 more I haven't thought of yet should probably be answered.[/quote]

Not saying the guy is guilty of anything but definitely has some smoke to it to at least inquire about it.
1) if he wasn't in on it in the disbanded league, and saw these guys going for low amounts of money, why not put his last $3 on one of them as a backup bid etc since a pattern developed that these guys were going cheap?
2) I thought Greg mentioned something about everyone in this league not being able to compete in the Nfbc anymore? Maybe just in future seasons? Not everyone? If so, how was that decided?
There will be no league prizes for this league and all accounts have been locked pertaining to these teams. We will take the next step of blocking some owners from the NFBC permanently.
If his account is truly locked, then that is at least a start. Are we sure that it is though? Haven't looked at this leagues faab and when the account was locked etc...

Re: Dissolved League - Integrity & Acountability
I can't speak for Greg, but certainly not everyone's account is locked at this point. That disbanded league is no longer a league though, so no moves are being made in it. It simply does not exist. Greg mentioned that all the league members would be looked into to see what their future at the NFBC would hold it sounded like. I assume that is being done, and I assume that the second league involving one of the overall leaders is being thoroughly investigated as well, since he was in this disbanded league. The easy starting points have been outlined. Hopefully they are looking into it and make an announcement about what is allowed and what is not regarding playing in leagues with your boys and where the line is to be drawn if there is no wrongdoing found, and all these people actually exist and the IP's check out and the payments are all legit to the addresses of the accounts on file.

When you won the NFBC Primetime, how many entries did you have and how many total leagues were there? You really are a less intelligent than I thought with your understanding of odds and the same owner having multiple teams in the contest.
"winning a debate", "in my head"...LOL. u keep thinking that. u are a legend in your own mind and a donkey to the rest of us.

Re: Dissolved League - Integrity & Acountability
I'm sure I missed it somewhere, but what exactly was the Vicente Padilla incident?
Re: Dissolved League - Integrity & Acountability
Well, I guess this is where I jump in and communicate Chad's record from last season as he will not speak of his accomplishments in any type of detail as they speak for themselves. Actually I really enjoy looking back at this historic season.
16 Primetime entries:
7 First Place Finishes (44% winning %)
3 Second Place Finishes
3 Third Place Finishes
13 teams out of 16 in the top 3. Overall champion and 6 teams in the top 10. Each league had a distinct set of 12 owners. So with multiple entries not allowed, he was fortunate enough to beat 11 different sets of distinct owners again and again.
3 Rotowire Championship Entries:
2 First Place Finishes (66% winning %)
He was the overall champion and also finished 29th in the competition out of 1500 teams. There was no mention of buying anything here.
For the record there were 5 main event leagues where he only won 1 and a shameful 20% win percentage. He did manage 4 of those teams into the top 84 overall. I haven't had a chance to discuss with him what went wrong in the main event, but when I do I'll get back to you.
Chad will be uncomfortable with this post but damn, I sure had a good time going back and reliving my best fantasy baseball summer ever. One that can never be diminished or taken away by any type of argument because of multiple entries. The total body of work in incredible. The total take was $308,000. There is no refuting those numbers.
As great a fantasy player as he is he's an even better human being. The only thing that held up his induction into the NFBC hall of fame was his lack of desire to travel to Vegas after deciding to take this season off.

After talking with Greg, this will be my last post on this thread. I don't want to take anything away from this very important topic. I've chimed in on the subject at hand and some collateral damage ensued (not surprising). No good can come to the NFBC/NFFC at this point. Thanks for the reminder Greg

Re: Dissolved League - Integrity & Acountability
I had a very good talk with Bryan Propst this afternoon and I feel confident that he is winning fair and square in his current Online Championship League. Yes, he was part of the league that was dissolved, but as he said he was very aggressive early on in free agent bidding when the league started to get flooded with new free agents and he was down to $3 at the end. He had no chance to stop the first place team from picking off the remaining free agents.
Anyway, here's Bryan's background: He's a long-time CDM player who added the NFBC a few years ago and he said he has about 35 different teams among all of the different sites. He has been playing in football and baseball with us every year since 2011, always playing the Online Championship or Double Play as it was called in 2011. As he said, he always drafts with us in late March because it fits his work schedule and his other leagues that he's in. He doesn't hand pick leagues based on owners; it's always in late March to fit his schedule.
He said he doesn't know anyone personally in either of the NFBC leagues he is in this year and he's seen the posts saying he's in the same league with guys that were in his league last year. If that's true, he said he doesn't know them. And he said it's been an active league as six owners have $50 or less of FAAB, including Bryan who has $27 left. After his two NFBC drafts, he said he actually liked his other team better and thought he could finish in the Top 2 in that league despite all that happened.
So why didn't he contact the NFBC in that dissolved league? Because he too thought something was up but didn't have any proof of it. He agreed that the cuts were kind of crazy, but he said he saw us roll back some of the cuts in April (we did roll back 4 cuts and should have done more) and felt that some of these cuts could be justified. They weren't first round players being cut and he saw that the four brothers weren't helping each other, so he let it go. But he was getting curious here as well and just decided to keep trying to beat them, which he was close to doing at least for second place.
He's chosen not to post on this thread, but wants folks to know that he's playing hard like he always does and loves this team that is challenging for the overall title. He says he has done no wrong and was a victim of what others did in that other league. He believes he has a shot at the overall title and hopes everyone looks at the league and how it was drafted.
Bryan is passionate about baseball and he loves playing in the NFBC. He understands the scrutiny here after what happened in the other league, but he wants everyone to know he played no role there. That's what we felt as well.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for laying out the full story, Greg.
Absent a smoking gun or obvious manipulation, neither of which have come to light, that all sounds reasonable.

I have been in a league with Cool Guys before, and he never did anything unusual or suspicious. And what Greg says sounds reasonable. I think it is time to move on.

Re: Dissolved League - Integrity & Acountability
Good job asking him some questions Greg. Sounds like you think it must just be an amazing coincidence that has those four guys in the same league two years in a row and Bryan happening to be in that fraudulent league as well. Assuming the other three guys know each other and are linked somehow, but Bryan is not linked to them, there is roughly a .0002 chance of those three finding Bryan's league two years in a row. The odds of him being in the same league as them two years in a row as well as also being in the fraudulent league with his other team are .00000145. Not a very good chance obviously. If my math is correct, this is a 1.45 out of a million chance.
So you asked him if there was an explanation for being in the same league as the other three guys. The answer was no idea? He has no clue who they are or how this could have happened. So that is the investigation and it is over? Or are you going to look at these other accounts and see where they are located, check what IP's were used in drafting and making transactions, and checking where payments for those accounts came from? This should be done to ensure they are real accounts IMO. I have long tended to trust people way too much. And that has led me to being stiffed for well over a half million dollars. Please forgive me if I am not so trusting anymore. Especially when one league was disbanded already. Is the connection between these other three being looked into? If this is allowed where is the line drawn? Can I have 11 guys in local league play our league here instead? They aren't very good players for the most part. Is this allowed? Would there be a shitstorm if I won the whole thing out of this league? Just want to know if it is worth playing in these smaller buy in contests, with large prizes. There are a lot of douchebags out there that will drum up different methods of attack. I am asking your competition the same thing in regards to what is being done to monitor things.
A lot of these questions have nothing to do with Bryan, even though 1 in a million chance of all of that unfolding has me a bit more skeptical than most, unless this is looked into more, starting with the suggestions I gave that should not be that hard to look at.

The Vicente Padilla null hypothesis.
Re: Dissolved League - Integrity & Acountability
When I first started playing at NFBC I always wanted to draft as late in the spring as possible and chose a date which fit my schedule but gave me the best opportunity to know the final rosters and/or injuries.Cocktails and Dreams wrote:Good job asking him some questions Greg. Bryan drafted on Mar 30 both years didn't he? If you take into account he may have wanted to draft on the last date he was availalbe before the season opener, I think your math would show there's only a 1-in-6 or so chance of him being in a league with the same people who drafted on Mar 30 the year before.
No, I didn't check my math because it's not worth my time but I don't see the smoking gun that you seem to see.

Just to be clear: There is NOBODY in Bryan's Rotowire Online Championship League this year that was in either of his Online Championship Leagues last year. Bryan finished 1st and 2nd in his leagues last year and he's leading his OC league this year as well.
But let me repeat: NOBODY in this year's league that he is leading was in either of his leagues last year. It's very easy to look up on anyone's team page and I'm looking at all three teams now. So let's put an end to this.
Thanks.

This is 100% NOT TRUE! It is the entire reason for the post and the discussion in the first place. There are 3 members from his second place team last season that are (again) exclusively playing in his league this year!
Please contact me if you need the 3 names. I'm not here to keep this thing going but when you state something so blatantly untrue I have to say something. Possibly it's why you didn't do more than make a phone call. If I am wrong here I will categorically apologize to everyone for wasting their time.

Not sure how you could get this so wrong Greg? There are three owners in league #3304 from 2015 that are also in his first place team from this year. Where is the confusion? A look at the standings from both is pretty simple.Money wrote:Greg,Greg Ambrosius wrote:Just to be clear: There is NOBODY in Bryan's Rotowire Online Championship League this year that was in either of his Online Championship Leagues last year. What makes it even more damning is that they only play exclusively in his leagues and they make up one third of the league each season.Teufel Hunden wrote:Not sure how you could get this so wrong Greg? Please contact me if you need the 3 names. I'm not here to keep this thing going but when you state something so blatantly untrue I have to say something. Possibly it's why you didn't do more than make a phone call. If I am wrong here I will categorically apologize to everyone for wasting their time.
I was done with this and moved on, but possibly Greg didn't understand what was being communicated. Some of the names are changed and possibly aliases. This is a perfect argument against using false names. There is a lot of money on the line.
It was suggested that IP addresses and money trails along with all signup information be checked out, that's all. The coincidence is unreal. I'm not saying anything is going on, simply thought it should be checked out.
I have a lot on my plate right now, so I'll move on.

Re: Dissolved League - Integrity & Acountability
Okay, I stand corrected. I see the three owners from April 1st last year and in this year's league:
Brian Lesandrini
Thomas Wu
Big Lumber
For the record: None of those guys won the league title last year and Bryan finished second with 83 points in a highly competitive league (first place was 86 points).
In this year's league they are 1st (Bryan), 6th, 7th and 11th. They have $7, $44 and $737 left in FAAB.

Re: Dissolved League - Integrity & Acountability
There has never been a dispute over FAAB pickups or the draft. There are very subtle ways, as we all know, of creating advantages inside of a league. All that was asked was that the IP and monetary trails be tracked for a connection on these players to be checked out. You stated in an earlier post that the leader does not know any of them. If true it's an astronomical coincidence, but enough to put it to bed.

Re: Dissolved League - Integrity & Acountability
Thanks Joe. Nobody changed their names. Big Lumber was the same both years. Everyone paid individually for this league via credit card.Money wrote:What makes it even more damning is that they only play exclusively in his leagues and they make up one third of the league each season.Teufel Hunden wrote:Greg,Money wrote:
A look at the standings from both is pretty simple.
If the implication is that these three other owners are helping Bryan win it all then let's find the facts during the draft and during the season that show that. We have everything from this league right in front of us and in front of everyone else. Hope this helps.

Re: Dissolved League - Integrity & Acountability
Names have been changed from draft day (which is probably what they entered on). One name is entered on the draft board and then changed when listed in overall standings. I feel challenged here and possibly this leads to the elimination of false names in overall contests. If you're satisfied it's a fair contest that is certainly good enough for me. I stated from the get go that I was drawing (because of the lack of obvious wrong doing concerning faab and the draft) no conclusions and had moved on, until today's post. I will go back to "Moved on".

Re: Dissolved League - Integrity & Acountability
So did they use credit cards under their actual name? Do Ip addresses check out? Is there proof all accounts are real people? Then the final question how many connected people can play in a league? Can I just run our local league on here so we can play for 100k while we decide it? I assume that would go over just fine if I won this out of that league?
