Re: 2 Spots Left In The 2017 NFBC Main Event
SOLD OUT: The 4th Main Event Online League on Saturday, April 1st has now Sold Out. David Speicher took the 60th spot on that day. Awesome job everyone.
We now have 448 teams in the Main Event and two live location events that are half full. New York on the First Weekend and Las Vegas Second Weekend are each half full, so we still have some work to do. We will keep the April 1st Online League open with the hope that Las Vegas sells out with live drafters. If not, we may need some help there from a couple of our online folks. But right now we have 10 days left to fill up these last two leagues.
New York needs a push in the next week to sell out. Tom continues to contact past players and will update that situation soon. Again, the goal is to fill up that 4th league with live drafters. Stay tuned.
Here we go. Keep the signups coming until every league is perfectly full with 15's. Thanks all.

Re: 15 Spots Left In The 2017 NFBC Main Event
NOW AT 450 TEAMS FOR THE NFBC MAIN EVENT!! THANKS ALL.
Now for the bad news: We don't have a perfect match of 30 leagues. We have 28 full leagues and:
1 SPOT LEFT - Thursday, March 30th, 5 pm PT Las Vegas Main Event
8 SPOTS LEFT - Saturday, march 25th 1 pm ET New York Main Event
8 SPOTS LEFT - Saturday April 1st 10 am PT Las Vegas Main Event
13 SPOTS LEFT - Saturday, April 1st 1 pm ET Main Event Online
There's no guarantee that we can fill all of that, but that's the goal. We'd rather not mix and match, so let's see what the next week brings. But we're in a better spot today than we've ever been for the Main Event in the past. Thanks all.
Okay, let's keep things rolling. Anything is possible now.

Re: 4 Spots Left In The 2017 NFBC Main Event
We still have 29 full leagues as we're trying to fill three leagues that have partial owners. Tom has 10 owners for the New York Main Event this Saturday and is still calling around to get folks live or on the phone. We may go past today to fill that one.
I'm also still working on the April 1st Las Vegas Main Event. We've been stuck at 82 owners for a few days and need 8 more live bodies to fill that by this weekend or we'll need to get creative.
And the April 1st Online is closing in on another full league, needing 6 owners. We always could combine this with Las Vegas, but we have time to fill both and there are still owners out there mulling a return.
Here's what we have left to fill all 32 leagues:
5 Spots Left: New York Saturday, March 25th at 1 pm ET (4th league)
8 Spots Left: Las Vegas Saturday, April 1st, 10 am PT
6 Spots Left: Main Online Saturday, April 1st, 1 pm ET

Re: 2 Spots Left In The 2017 NFBC Main Event
We added two more teams this afternoon, one in New York this Saturday and another in Las Vegas on April 1st. We're glad to welcome Ronny Mor to Las Vegas as he won a league title last year and finished in the Top 20 overall. Great to have him back with us in Las Vegas.
We now have 463 teams in the Main Event and unfortunately we have 3 open leagues that need to come together. We've basically put ourselves in a spot to hit 480 teams to fill 32 leagues. We can do that by selling out these three leagues:
4 Spots Left: New York Saturday, March 25th at 1 pm ET (4th league)
7 Spots Left: Las Vegas Saturday, April 1st, 10 am PT
6 Spots Left: Main Online Saturday, April 1st, 1 pm ET
We can do it. Thanks all and good luck in all your drafts over the next 13 days.

Re: 12 Spots Left In The 2017 NFBC Main Event
Okay, now we are definitely down to the final spots in the NFBC Main Event. We pushed the envelope this year because we just couldn't finalize full leagues when we got to 450 teams. We still had four partial leagues at that point and didn't want to tell anyone they couldn't compete in the Main Event. So we left those open and now have a chance to fill all of these leagues perfectly.
If that happens we will be at 32 full leagues this year and 480 teams. We still have some work to do, but that's the plan. We will adjust the overall prizes accordingly.
Tom has one more spot to fill in New York for a 4th Main Event league and then he will pick draft spots and announce shortly after it fills. Lock in your KDS preferences right now for that league. We also have 7 spots left in Las Vegas on Saturday, April 1st if anyone wants a spot. Let's fill that one as well.
Okay, here are the last 12 spots left in the 2017 NFBC Main Event. Thanks all and good luck.
1 Spot Left: New York Saturday, March 25th at 1 pm ET (4th league)
7 Spots Left: Las Vegas Saturday, April 1st, 10 am PT
4 Spots Left: Main Online Saturday, April 1st, 1 pm ET

Re: 10 Spots Left In The 2017 NFBC Main Event
SOLD OUT IN NEW YORK!!
Kudos to Tom for pushing for a 4th league in New York and filling it today. All of those owners got their draft spots today, just one day later than everyone else. Thanks to everyone for being so patient and allowing us to mix in 9 live drafters with a handful of drafters on the phone. We'll make this work smoothly and the league will be tough as always. Thanks.
We have now reached 470 teams in the NFBC Main Event and now it's time to fill up the remaining leagues and host these drafts. This is beyond our expectations, so the overall prizes will get a bump after we fill these last two leagues. Great job everyone. Thanks all and good luck.
The remaining spots include:
7 Spots Left: Las Vegas Saturday, April 1st, 10 am PT
3 Spots Left: Main Online Saturday, April 1st, 1 pm ET
The rest of the Mains are sold out:
SOLD OUT: Las Vegas Saturday, March 25th at 10 am PT
SOLD OUT: New York Saturday, March 25th at 1 pm ET (4th league)
SOLD OUT: Las Vegas Thursday, March 30th at 5 pm PT
SOLD OUT: Saturday, March 25th Online
SOLD OUT: Main Online Monday, March 27th, 8 pm ET
SOLD OUT: Main Online Wednesday, March 29th, 8 pm ET
SOLD OUT: Main Online Thursday, March 30th, 8 pm ET
Sign up online or contact me at [email protected] and we'll get these last two leagues filled. The next three for the Main Online will be drafting online. After that there is a likely hookup with the Las Vegas live drafters, but our hope is to fill each independently or as close as possible in Las Vegas.
This is the LAST live league available this season. Amazing, isn't it? Thanks all and good luck.

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Re: 7 Spots Left In The 2017 NFBC Main Event
GOOD NEWS: We filled our 5th NFBC Main Event Online league on Saturday, April 1st and now have 75 owners that day. That gives us 473 teams with 7 Spots Left in Las Vegas. I have leads that could bring in two more owners to the Bellagio, so we are getting closer. This is coming together nicely.
However, it's possible that we may have a handful or less of owners who could join this league via phone/online. If you have any interest in this contact me at 715-254-5553. It's easy to do and in fact we may spread 1 or 2 owners across a couple of leagues. You would see every pick online using the same draft board that the folks are seeing in Las Vegas and you'd only have to announce your picks. We'd do the rest as far as installing the pick into the software.
So if you can't make it to Las Vegas but want to be part of the Las Vegas Main Event, contact me at [email protected] or 715-254-5553. Let's fill these last spots and get this closed out by Monday. Thanks all and good luck.

Re: 6 Spots Left In The 2017 NFBC Main Event
Okay, we're getting closer to 480 teams for the Main Event. Remember that the KDS deadline is on Monday at 8 ET, so look for draft spots Monday afternoon. Tom is flying from New York to Las Vegas that morning but will set up the leagues and the draft orders likely before he lands here. But please be patient on Monday and we'll get these leagues announce.
Okay, we had one Las Vegas owner who was doing the Main Online to come to the Bellagio, so we are closer to a 6th full league in Las Vegas. We a few more owners interested in the live Main, so we could hit 86 or 87 there. The Online Main is full, so anyone signing up now Online will have to be part of a hook-in with Las Vegas. Easy to do and w may spread out over two leagues. We have two days to figure this out.
If you have any interest in the Main, contact me at [email protected] today or Sunday. Let's fill these final spots and enjoy the baseball season together. Thanks all.

Re: 3 Spots Left In The 2017 NFBC Main Event
NOW ONLY 3 SPOTS LEFT in the NFBC Main Event for 2017. We have 477 teams now and just need to finalize three more teams. I think we have some good leads, but if you have any interest at all sign up today and look for draft spots tomorrow. Great job everyone and thanks for a record season in the Main Event.
We have 5 full leagues for the Main Event Online on Saturday, April 1st, which means all of our remaining spots are in the 6th league of Las Vegas. I believe we can get two more owners live at the Bellagio, which would give us 86 owners there. Rob Giese, Stephen Jupinka and one other owner have agreed to join Las Vegas via phone, leaving us with one guaranteed spot drafting that way to give us 90 owners.
The plan is to mix all 90 owners into the six full leagues tomorrow when we draft leagues and draft spots. This will allow us to spread 1 or 2 phone drafters to separate leagues so that it doesn't feel like anything differently per league. That's easy and we'll see how the random draw spreads this out tomorrow. But all 90 will be finalized by tomorrow morning, allowing us to randomly pick the leagues without having those last signups all in the same league.
Now draft spots might not be announced by late morning tomorrow. We still have a little work to do and then Tom is flying from New York to Las Vegas early Monday morning. We want to make sure we have everything right before announcing the Las Vegas, Chicago and Online draft spots. But we will get it done on Monday and we will be full with 480 teams. We are on this.
Thanks all and best of luck to everyone.

Re: 1 Spot Left In The 2017 NFBC Main Event
NOW ONLY 1 SPOT LEFT in the NFBC Main Event for 2017. We got a pleasant surprise this afternoon with brothers Michael and Mark LeDuc signed up for the Las Vegas Main Event. I believe they are twins because they look exactly alike and we haven't seen them in Las Vegas the last two years. I'm so happy to see them back in Las Vegas and back in the Main Event live. That brings us one step closer to a full league in Las Vegas and a full Main Event once again.
We have 479 teams locked and loaded for this weekend. One more in Las Vegas and we will be done for the season. Thanks all and good luck.
Let's get one more surprise tonight and we'll be done. Thanks all.
Remember that the KDS deadline for all of the Saturday, April 1st Main Event leagues is Monday at 8 am ET. We need to take a little time tomorrow to get Tom to Las Vegas, but we might be able to get them out during his flight. Let's see how things go, but it's very possible. Stay patient and let's get this last spot filled.
Wow, what a year. Thanks all and good luck.

Re: The 2017 NFBC Main Event Is NOW SOLD OUT!!
SOLD OUT: The 2017 NFBC Main Event is now SOLD OUT with 32 full leagues and 480 owners. It's a record-breaking year for our signature event, which is in its 14th season. GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!
Draft spots are being announced now, so look for them soon. I believe Tom is doing it from the plane, so be patient with slow Internet. But KDS has run, leagues have been randomly drawn and life is good!! Merry Christmas from Santa!!
Thanks all and good luck.

Thanks Greg and congratulations...

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

Re: The 2017 NFBC Main Event Is NOW SOLD OUT!!
If anyone still has interest in the Main Event on Saturday, April 1st shoot me an email at [email protected]. We have one wavering owner that may create an opening. We should know more tomorrow, but touch base with me. An opening could be available. Thanks all.
There's always something!! No worries as we'll take care of it. Now let's get back to our draft prep.
