As far as last week goes, the reason why we didn't have an extension is because STATS didn't receive the e-mail from Greg until 10 p.m. CT. So there was no time to grant an extension. Had they gotten the e-mail at the same time last week as they did this week there would have been an extension.

I can't even get "my teams" to appear.

A glitch, we can access free agents but it won't accept the bidding action.

Make sure you log out and then log back in to the site. Everything should be working properly after that.
Again, if you're still having trouble please e-mail your bids to Greg at

Again, if you're still having trouble please e-mail your bids to Greg at Tom, I'm basically done with all my leagues, but the question was never answered before.....how could an owner e-mail bids without fully knowing who was available? and please don't say, "do your best"
My bidding usually entails a lot of different players, especially my conditional bids. There's no way, with multiple leagues, an owner could remember all relevant players available. For instance, in one league today, I just realized Miguel Tejada was dropped 2 WEEKS ago. He didn't get bid on last week, probably because of the STATS f-up....and if I hadn't noticed earlier today, how would I know this to send an e-mail?
Ultimately I don't care since I'm basically done, but I tend to think of others and not only myself.

Okay, we have processed all of the bids that came to me via e-mail. If you still need to get a bid in, we'll allow them until the top of the hour. As Tom has stated, please log out and then back in to access the free agent lists. Good luck and this should be resolved once and for all.....I hope.
Patrick, some folks had done their free agent homework before the site suddenly got slow this afternoon. Not everyone, but some folks did. Others also got some of their leagues' moves in before finishing up their other leagues and knew who they wanted. I processed all of the e-mail requests sent to me and hopefully that helped. It wasn't perfect, but it was all we could do at this late juncture.
And we had to shut down the free agent site at 7:00 EST to resolve the problem. I've extended the deadline to allow folks to still get in their bids now.

Richard, I did try to stop the bids from being announced last week, but STATS didn't get that e-mail last week because our company e-mail system was down. So the bids ran before we could extend the deadline. This week I chose to extend the deadline as the last hour was extremely slow and then it went down. Several folks e-mailed me their moves and we were able to enter them for them.
Hope this helps. The bigger solution would be to avoid this problem EVER AGAIN!!!

They need to keep the lists open until they finish, which should be just a few more minutes. The lists will close when they are done and we are almost done.

Brad & Shawn, Tejada was available in the Mag II league too. This is my last league I work on in the NFBC due the WTA format and the lack of participation. I noticed just today that he was dropped 2 weeks ago.
BTW, why should he be removed from the list? He's not what he used to be.

Greg, I understand what you are saying, but with many owners being in many different leagues, it could definitely be quite difficult.
I'm in a league where we have to type all of our bids. People HAVE all of the free agents available at their disposal, yet still make an attempt to bid on players unavailable....if these owners can't read what is in front of them, imagine owners trying to remember who's available strictily from memory.

He may not be hitting 30 HR's this year but he still is a guy who has been a top 5 SS 6-7 yrs in a row, he is batting .300+ and still has pretty damn good stats considering he has missed a month. Also, considering Crosby is the best free agent SS in my league, I would consider Tejada a gem. Maybe this is the year he slows down but I am not sure why you say he is not what he used to be considering last year he hit .330, 24HR's, and was pretty much a 100/100 guy.

Are we playing with last years stats or this years? Greg/Tom can't remove every player based on past production or potential production(DeAngelo Williams for the NFFC folks )
If Brendan Harris was a free agent this week, should he be removed from the pool as well?

Yes, some who did it from memory gave us bids for players who weren't available in those leagues, but we figured it out. Hopefully they went back in after we were done and cleaned up their bids. I think it worked for the folks we tried to help tonight.
Now let's not do this dance again. Dinner tonight with the family turned into a disaster and I'm back on the "you owe us one daddy" list.

If Brendan Harris was a free agent this week, should he be removed from the pool as well? What basis do you use for removal? The guy was a second round pick in my league. I guess if someone had dropped Howard while he was hurt and batting .220 you would have had no problem, right?
