so are the first 15 people to sign up all in the same league, or if 30 people sign up do you randomly draw for who is in what league...? Just wondering.. I kinda like the idea of going against the people currently signed up, but random assignment is always better I guess.

Y'know Dan, I was really hoping that you were going to join us again this year in the Shawn Childs League. Next time I'll 'be more careful about what I wish for'. ;) (I suppose I should have known by your cryptic reference.)

Welcome to the party, it's good to have you aboard. Do you prefer coffee, juice, or 'tab' for breakfast?

LTD: My feeling is that Gregg will fill another league if there's interest. If that happens, the division will probably be geographically determined. If one of the city's has 15 players, the rest will probably be connected through phone hook up. I know what you mean though, this group should make for a pretty lively message board!

Thanks Bob, it should be fun.

We stayed at the Imperial Palace during a softball tourney a few years back. A freak storm came and the bottom floor of the Hotel was flooded. There were more questions of whether the buffet would still be open in the morning than when everyone could return to their rooms.

Cost of entry is $2,500 and we pay 82% to the top three finishers with first place receiving $20,000. Same rules as the Ultimate League but at half the price for the entry.

We will keep taking entries through early March to gauge the interest in this league and fill as many leagues as possible. But obviously the first 15 signups are guaranteed spots and if we finish with one league then that's the league. If we finish with two leagues, we'll see how the city breakdowns work out and get it done that way. If there's not a full league in any one city, we'll mix 'em all up if we have to. Good luck all.

Welcome jeff!!!! Good to have you, but if I remember correctly last year we liked the same players. Hopefully this year it's a different case!

2 spots left!!!! Wooohooo!!! Remember the first 15 owners will all have their names put in a hat and I'll give away the magazine league team I'm drafting next week to one lucky owner. I draft the team and then it's yours!! Free shot at $500. Can't beat that!

Looks like I'm outnumbered! I think it is the overlaping time for the other Ultimates on Sunday. If Greg had more of a gap, you might get a few to double up.
Yeah, I would almost consider adding another tier of events on Sunday at 4 or 5 PST as there appears to be some folks who want to do both events on Sunday. I'd rather enjoy myself that night in Las Vegas, but if there is enough demand for another set of Super NFBC Leagues later that day I'd try to accommodate it. Just a thought and maybe a better way of making the Super Auction League happen. 5 p.m. tipoff.
I think you could push the time for a Super auction to say 2 PM. If any players doing a Ultimate draft, they should be done by then.

It would tough to do back to back auction on Sunday after all the other events over the week-end. A draft and an auction might knock off three hours off the day.

Greg:

I'm up for any start time you suggest for the Super Auction. If you could find a way to make both happen, I'll take part. I'll just delay the trip to Santa Anita. ;)

I was actually hoping we could have a super draft at a different time from the Ultimate Draft in case there were guys that wanted to do both.
I agree, Come on Greg give a little love back to the Ultimaye players. I'm sure you don't want to have to hang around all day Sunday why some of us crazy Ultimate players do back to back drafts. You can always delegate this to someone else why you have some time for yourself.

Well, you and Kimo and Shawn and Rick Thomas were guys I had in mind about this. The last thing I wanted to do was lose someone from the Ultimate so they could whip on Gekko in the NFBC Super League!! :D That's being a penny wise and a dollar foolish on my end! ;)

Here's the deal, if we can get enough guys to do this at 4 p.m. PST or 7 p.m. EST, I'll run it. You don't have to sign up anywhere, just put your name on the list. If there's interest, I'll run it and drink while you guys are drafting!! Sound like a deal??

NFBC Super Draft League

Sunday, March 16th, 4 p.m. PST

$2,500 entry, Pay Top 3

1. Jim Ferrari

2. Jeff Dobies (tentative)
