Damn, I missed my chance to be on the mark with this analysis. Get ready for the Gordon Beckham era in Chi-Town because it starts NOW.

[/QUOTE]Only you could find fault in a guy who hit .483 at Triple-A!!
How about TWO strikeouts in 29 at-bats at Charlotte. No walks, correct, but his strikeout-to-walk rate at Double-A was 24/14. Not bad.
I'm sure Perry saw a lot more of him in the AFL than anyone else on these boards, but from what I saw it's obvious he has the physical tools to be a good ballplayer. If anything, his defensive skills seemed to be more of a detriment than his bat. I doubt that he's SS ready, but he can probably play third for now and hit okay. Anytime a player makes a quick jump from Double-A to the majors it's risky, so I understand the pessimism. But saying he didn't walk at all when he hit .483 at Triple-A is n i t p i c k i n g!!

Double A don't mean squat.
If I’m calling Wieters, Greg Zaun. I got to call Beckham...ohhh…let’s see...Juan Uribe!!! lacking in speed, lacking in patience, will be a K machine THIS year, with a little pop. He might be better than Josh Fields this year in batting avg, but if he is, I won’t be by much. I’m am hoping he goes for BiG BuCkS this week though!!! Just means less money out there for people to acquire Farnsworth!!
And Greg – I guess you think the “sharks” who picked Beckham up the last few weeks, kinda diminished this Sunday night’s thunder, right? How dare owners trying to think ahead. Bad, bad owners!

I'm not predicting what Beckham is doing, just chastising you for saying a guy who hit .483 at a level had no plate discipline. If they're good to hit I want my guys hitting 'em!!! We'll see what his plate discipline looks like at the MLB level. And I think the White Sox are thinking the same thing: He can't be as bad as Josh Fields, so let's roll the dice. NFBC owners may have to have the same mentality.
Any owner that had the foresight to draft Beckham obviously didn't have the patience to keep him on reserve if he was available in any NFBC league. So any team that picked him up last week, kudos to them. I didn't expect to see Beckham up until July, so kudos to those owners. That's why this setup is so great!!

Hanson was drafted in all 26 main event leagues and all 50 Online Championship leagues, while Beckham was drafted in 21 of 26 main event leagues. So in 5 NFBC main event leagues, he's now available via FAAB for the first time.

GREAT time slot!
This allows you to cut loose and reveal (almost) all without screwing yourself!
Fills that LOOOOONG gap between being locked out of bidding...to opening our weekly gifts!
It will be fun to hear open strategies without having it effect anyone.
Even a drunk like me will be able to remember THAT time slot...turn me into one of Pavlovs dogs!

It will be fun to hear open strategies without having it effect anyone. exactly. thanks for prodding me last week about getting this going in that time slot. i had some family health stuff to take care of, but for now, it's stable.
and yes, i can talk freely about the week's free agents.
