The $1300 Mixed Auction Championship prizes:

1st: $6,700

2nd: $3,800

3rd: $1,500

PLUS.....

You're still eligible for the $15,000 overall grand prize.

Last but not least - Gekko shows his hand in advance of the Main Event.

Lets go. TWO MORE spots....

Lets go. TWO MORE spots.... again, I strongly disagree with more "fantasy welfare". last year the payouts were:

New York $1,300 Mixed Auction

1 $9,400

2 $3,500

3 $1,725

now this year, you are chopping 1st place by a whopping $2,700. 2nd place only gets cut a mere $300 and 3rd place gets cut a mere $225. Why is 1st place getting rubbed out so much. please reconsider the payouts.

something like this falls in line with the %'s as last year (minus the money going to the overall auction championship)

1st $7,600

2nd $2,800

3rd $1,400

Hey Gekko, You missed in Greg numbers for payout that he was paying $300 more to 2nd place than last year, not making it smaller. I'm going to crunch the number tonight and post some ideas on payout for this league later. Roy

last year's prize schedule:

1 $9,400 64.3%

2 $3,500 23.9%

3 $1,725 11.8%

Total $14,625

what this year's should look like given the same payback %'s as last year:

1 $7,584 64.3%

2 $2,824 23.9%

3 $1,392 11.8%

Total $11,800

to make them nice round numbers, my first suggestion is still the optimal one IMO:

1st $7,600

2nd $2,800

3rd $1,400

Tom,

I am just reading this is tied into the auction championship. I'd like to replace my Atlantic City sign up with this one.

Gekko - nice job on the prize structure. (7,500, 3,000 and 1,300 may be easier to remember, but I think you have nice breakdown).

Tom, I'm submitting the sign up now!

Thank you,

Mike

NFBBC leaders, the team of Craig Kielinski and Lou Nemphos, are willing to take the last spot if it's still open.
We drove 22 miles, country around Farmington. Signs started appearing. THE MOST PHOTOGRAPHED BARN IN AMERICA. Cars, tour bus, cameras;postcards sold.

I vote for 7000, 3000, 1800. Seriously you play all year and may miss by a point? I mean I like 1st getting a bunch when I win it but 2nd and 3rd deserve a better break

[/QUOTE]Thank you Gekko! I know it was too sarcastic/dramatic but was meant to point out the importance of the rounds 10-30 in a draft. I did read a post you had about that's where a draft is won and lost - I agree 100%!

I am glad we are full and really glad I am in an auction! I missed this league last year - it's by far my favorite!

Good stuff all. This will be fun.

We closed out THREE auction leagues tonight. I see eight full ones for this championship and now it's a matter of finding out which cities can close out what they've started. I hope we can get it done. Good job all.

Despite the success of Lindy, who I think had the best ever NFBC season, someone could have skipped the first ten rounds of the main event, not bothered with free agents or reserve swaps and have won the $100,000

Again, the article is a bit obnoxious, but tries to drive home the idea that the draft is really won in rounds 11-30 (or can be!)

Welcome Craig and Lou, Craig it will be fun drafting with you again in an auction league. I hope the results will be the same,LOL.....

Now the prize pool breaks down like this- If an $800 league the payout total $6300,with another $2700 going to the over all prize pool.

The $1300 league is paying an extra $7500 in league fees. The extra prize money is $7500x75%=$5625 to the prize pool. New prize pool # is $11,925 (6300+5625). I like the prize breakdown of 1st- $7400 2nd- $3100 3rd- $1425.

Now if we can get Gregg/Tom/Ryan to show this league some love. I know that I would rather play in a private auction like it use to be,( But that option is no longer available to the player). The odds of anyone winning the overall out of this league are slim with the owner that are playing in this league. So can we get a little love and give us 80% of our extra league fees.$7500x80%=$6000. then the prize pool would be $6300+$6000+$12300..Breakdown of 1st-$7525 2nd-$3225 and 3rd-$1550.

Good stuff, Poopy....
