The season is 5 days old and we are not even close to having what we had the past few years. I thought Fanball was an upgrade. This is very frustrating!!!!! What's the point of % owned on lineup page?
Too see if we are on par with other teams competing in other leagues. You can gauge how strong your roster is compared to other owners. Not a necessity, but it was fun to look at! For instance, an I the only person starting Pennington??
RT - what I suggested was ---

BA R RBI HR SB H AB --- and to have this order consistent across various locations.

The point is to have the 5 scoring cats upfront to satisfy those who only want to see the scoring cats. For FAAB and stats, I suggested tacking on K - BB and possibly OBP and SLG in the far right columns. (OBP/SLG I don't really care about, but I assume some traditionalists would probably want to see them).

AB H R HR RBI SB AVG What possible rationale could you have for this order? Talk about random.

Rationale as I proposed:

1) Scoring cats in the first 5 columns, for those who want to look no further.

2) R and RBI together, those are the production stats, logical they are together.

3) HR and SB, power and speed stats together.

4) H-AB together, obvious.

5) K-BB together, obvious.

If you want to go traditional, which I don't think is fantasy-friendly, but I could live with it - I would to with the old box score format:

AB - R - H - RBI - BB - SO - HR - SB - AVG

(Adding HR and SB for LOB, which we obviously don't need).

And the box score format for pitching:

IP - H - ER - BB - SO - HR - ERA - WHIP

(WHIP added, R deleted).

Why can't we go like we have had in the past?

AB H R HR RBI SB AVG

Seem to me this is the standard on most sites. If you want additional info, add it on the end, away from what's important.

Greg, will real time standings ever be implemented?

I play on a FREE site that has real time standings on the main page, as well as the live scoring. It's been nice to check out the team page to instantly see where each team is in the standings, opposed to waiting until the morning.

Ultimately, it isn't "needed," but if one site hosting 100's-1000's of leagues can perform this function, I'm guessing fanball could as well.

And please explain the logic.

If people want familiar I'd go with the standard box score format. What you've suggested seems pointless.
OK, I'll try...

The way it's set up now is pathetic. I guess you used logic when you told them this would be better than before, but it is not.

If you were making a business presentation and were using power point or slides...would you total up things anywhere but the right side or bottom?

It's simply how we read. Top left to bottom right. Same for bill totals, receipts, etc, etc, etc.

Having these stats END in R HR RBI SB AVG is very comfortable, and you trying to make everyone re-learn how to read a stat line is a bit silly IMO.

Like I said...Runs are placed in front of Home Runs, followed by RBI's in so many different baseball formats it's become the norm. Having a summary stat (like Average) at the far right is a great place for it, as it is a total from a calculation. (like a receipt)

It just makes sense to keep things the way we are comfortable looking them over. I'd say if you are going to tack on a bunch of other stuff...tack it one to the beginning of the rows (left side) as to keep the good old classic view un cluttered on the right side, in case one wishes to bypass all the clutter.

As long as the final five rows have R HR RBI SB AVG...knock yourself out with the logic of cluttering the left rows. CBS sucks...you have to dig through 2B BB 3B etc to find the counting stats.

The way it is set up now is pathetic. The daily summary should be at the bottom of the "starters". The hitters should be separated from the bench. Same for the Pitchers. Starters, then summary of the day below that, then bench. The weekly and yearly totals should be below that. It would make things crystal clear.
