how's this for a guess...just going by all the posts you've made on the MB, i'm guessing that you finish around #180 overall. at the end of the season, let us know where you finish. i want to see how good my guess was. thanks and good luck.

You won't have any trouble finding out where I finish. Where did you finish last year?
As far as your writing goes, try and make sense. It would be a big improvement.

We have a few sharks in our league - swimming may not be as safe as we'd like

Bob is the reigning Mr. Fantasy Baseball at www.SportsBuff.com, winning the championship after placing 1st during the regular season in our salary cap competition, and then advancing to the post-season event in Las Vegas with the #1 seed. It was close, but he won it all with a great post-season draft.
Bob is a true hall of famer. Salary cap contests require 26 weeks of great moves, picking the best roster from all available players each and every week... much more difficult than drafting and managing a team. I can say this after placing 5th last year in the NFBC and having played our salary cap games for more than a decade. I have never been able to keep within a few hundred points of guys like Bob.
Good luck if you're in his league. JT

Don't worry, GG, I barely have enough time to keep up with my own cheat sheets (i.e. accountant-type = way too many "notes" to be wholly useful)! Not sure if you are in my league, but I wouldn't worry about me doing any peeking! Still, looking forward to bending an elbow at the bar with you (and all the Chicago crowd).
And someone had posted that my disdain for having to wait so long between even and odd picks (I am picking 14th) apply to those that picked 1st or 2nd as well. This is certainly true. In that case, I would almost prefer the latter positions (13, 14, 15) to the early positions (1,2,3) as again I think you have a better chance at two "First Rounders"...of course, you give up the uber-impact players like Pujols and Beltran.
Anyway, never to forget, as many of the wise men on these message boards (or wise-guys!) have said, the draft is successful no so much from draft pick as from research and LUCK! And draft is only one part of winning. The other key components are LUCK, in-season talent management, LUCK, waiver wire savy, LUCK and did I mention LUCK!

Baseball is a slow, boring, complex, cerebral game that doesn't lend itself to histrionics. You 'take in' a baseball game, something odd to say about a football or basketball game, with the clock running and the bodies flying.

If people can't show up it is not only bad for them but for all the folks that show up also since a bunch of empty slots at the tables will kill the draft. A back-up plan is just that, but you need to have one to cover emergencies like big storms that make it impossible for people to travel. On top of that I would guess most of the New York and Chicago crowds will be drivers versus flying in.
