I might be willing to join a slow draft league as well if there is another one that opens up.

I have NEVER joined a slow draft league cause of all the crap I have heard about them in terms of peeps being dicks on purpose..etc.

But the peeps here in the NFBC are all pretty cool peeps and I would love to bust my slow draft cherry..lol

Let me know if any new ones are set up.

Thanks,

Chris Olesen

There certainly is no rush, but do know approximately when we should be checking back to see when the draft orders will be posted? Tonight? Tomorrow? Beyond? Thanks! Sorry for the delayed response on all of this guys, but I was trying to find an alternative option to host these Slow Drafts this week and I thought I had a good option. But that request was blocked and now I think we are back to where we were yesterday. I think we have to wait until we can legally acquire the logins for everyone before we start these filled Slow Drafts.

I know this isn't great news for our folks who really want to get started with these Slow Drafts, but unless something changes real soon the plan would be to start these drafts around Feb. 15th. We should have everything legally taken care of by then and logins transferred to our new site and owners registered into the new system. We will have the new draft room fully tested and ready to go by then and ready for these pay leagues.

If this time schedule doesn't meet the approval of anyone on the current signup lists for the $150 Slow Drafts, $375 Slow Draft or $1,000 Slow Draft, let me know here or via email at [email protected]. We'll update the signup lists accordingly and pick the draft orders in the middle of next week.

Again, I'll understand if this timeline doesn't work for everyone, but I've looked at other options to get these started and none of them came through. So now we just have to finalize our original agreement and move accordingly once that deal is done. I hope you all understand. Thanks and we should be moving in full force in two weeks. Thanks all.

This may be an option down the road, but my hope is that we can get these Slow Drafts started by mid-February and really keep these moving over those next 4-5 weeks. But I agree, maybe a serious 50-rounder would fill for those Type A owners who need a serious fix. ;) We'd run those if anyone is interested, that's for sure.

If you want to be added to this list, let me know. The goal is to get these started the week of Feb. 15th as long as the legal documents are in and logins are transferred to us. We had to finally set a certain dateline so that you folks can get on with your lives and we can accurately plan for this transfer of power. Now we have a date and now we can plan accordingly. Thanks again all.

Are you still going to run the KDS for the $1000.00 Slow Draft Today? I am dying to know where we all draft in that league....

I have to go change my order again, later!

I have to go change my order again, later! No, let's make sure all 15 owners are still going to remain in the league. If you get a "yes" from your fellow owners since this is really only a one-week delay for this league, I'll then post that draft order. Let's give it until Monday for this $1,000 league and if everyone stays in this league we'll pick the draft orders after the Packers win the Super Bowl and give everyone a week to prepare for their draft spots. Sound good?

Thats just fine with me Greg! I haven't heard of anybody who was planning on leaving the $1000 Slow Draft League, only good things about switching back to STATS! The fact it will start a week later surely isn't the end of the world.

Looks like all of these leagues are going to start when pitchers and catchers report, should be a pretty fun time!

GO PACK GO, bring it back to Title Town Baby!!

I would address two issues for the next round of slow drafts - before this draft concept reaches the point of no one wanting to sign up - for the fear of a frustrating, 6-week draft:

(1) A 10-hour clock is more than enough time. Greg, the initial slow drafts were 10 hours. Somehow it got changed to 12, which is just unneccesary.

(2) No one should expect to average worse than 1 hour per pick during daytime hours. There are 750 picks to be made. Using 3 weeks and 18 hours per day of awake hours as a guideline, there are 378 hours of primetime to draft. To finish in 3 weeks one pick should be made every 30 minutes, on average. Some will be much faster, so I don't think asking everyone to average in the neighborhood of 1 hour per pick (twice the average) during the daytime is unreasonable. The expectation that drafters will average no worse than one hour per pick during primetime should be at the top of every slow draft signup thread. Sorry, I meant to address this post earlier. Yes, we can change the Slow Draft time limit to 10 hours once we get the new software going. That's easy to do and that does make sense. Consider that part done when we start in two weeks.

I am on the $150 slow draft twice. Please delete one of these teams.

It is possible that the confusion is that I do have a $150 slow draft team from an email draft in November conducted by Doughboys. I am not sure if these teams have been entered or if we need to sign up on the list for those teams. Please advise.

Yes, everyone in this full league is signed up and the draft order will be announced today by Tom. Same for the $1,000 Slow Draft League. I'll add Jaime to the next $375 Slow Draft list and see if we can get a second $375 league going. Get ready for the draft order for the league above soon. Good luck all and thanks for being patient with us as we await the transition to a new site/ownership.
