No, it's definitely not our friend from up north, unless we're referring to Northern Jersey. :)
You guys are hysterical. Really. It took me this long to recover from my fits of uncontrollable laughter to be able to get to my computer and respond. Seriously, you got one guy talking shit who is still "tentative" as he always is until the last possible minute because he needs the attention like a little, lost puppy. And then another who only talks a big game when there is $2500 or less on the table and he can draft with a partner to defray the cost and help supplement his feeble and limited baseball knowledge...but runs for the hills when he has to ante up the big money and has to potentially draft all by his lonesome! :? If you both were anymore predictable, I'd start setting my clocks to you.

And Magner, for the record, I've beaten almost everyone in this draft at one time or another, and the only reason I haven't beaten your sorry ass yet is because you have had the good fortune to date of only being in about three drafts with me to date, one of which being a Main that took you having an unconscious year to pull off the win, because in virtually any other league that year, my second place score would have been plenty to win the league title. So pipe down, because payback is a bitch, and your day of reckoning is coming. It's only going to make it more painful for you in defeat afterwards because I will make a spectacle of you on these boards, and you know it...

Myself and Jim Christie would like to take part in this league. We aren't listed on the Main Signup Page
and I don't see a way to register for this Friday night league yet on the registration page. Please secure our spot.

Thanks

Tough league - will be a true test. This let's me watch hoops for most of the afternoon. As of now,
I don't plan on taking part in Saturday's Main Event in Las Vegas so the late start is ideal for me. Jim or
Kenny can join me when they complete Jim's 4pm Auction. I may bust on the "Governor", but Big Jim is
a great partner and an even nicer guy. Congrats to him as well, he just got a Big Promotion to Director
by the State of New York. Who knows, I might even get him to pick up a tab now. ;)

Bumping this up
What's the update here? Any confirmation from the "maybes"?
Are we 12 yet? Is this league an official go?

Thanks

Of course it's an official go. I'll contact everyone this week to confirm their spots and then finalize everything. We'll make this a special league for sure. Thanks.

Okay, I know we haven't talked about this Friday Night Special in a while, but this baby is good to go. I'm saying it's a SELLOUT right now because we currently have 12 owners on the list. I know we have 3 owners who are tentative and I'll contact them all today, but this one is too special to let sit much longer. Plus Joe Berg -- "12 is my favorite number" -- is planning some fun for this evening so that every year we have this on Friday night in Las Vegas. Let's do it.

The 12-Team Super League is set for Friday night, March 22nd at the Bellagio Las Vegas. Let's finalize this league and make it happen. Thanks all and good luck.

Here again is our list of participants. Get signed up if you're not signed up already because this league is on Registration and others are trying to jump in. Thanks.

NFBC 12-Team Super League
Friday, March 22, 8 pm PT
Bellagio, Las Vegas

2. Bob Particelli
3. Gaetan Lavoie
4. Ken Magner/Jim Christie
5. Matthew Shepherd
6. Stephen Jupinka
7. Norm Kent
8. Donn Johnson
9. Chad Schroeder
10. Glenn Lowy
11. Jeff Dobies
12. Mike Massotto (tentative)

Greg:

Let me help. Massotto - take off the skirt and get that "Tentative" crap away from your manly
name in regard to this league. Honestly, every league needs at least one spot that the rest of us can call
"Dead Money". It is you pal, step up to bat and face the big boys. This league is loaded, it will make it easier
in September to explain your 12th place finish. That is another benefit of the 12 teamer, you cannot finish
15th here! Lowy is going to wait to be last in the pool, he likes that sort of thing. Check with Momma tonight
to see if you can find another $2500 donation. We would all appreciate this.

Your Favorite Police Sgt, Sack

ps: Dobies - i realize this isn't an Auction, but not having to carry ANDY in this League has got to help. ;)

pps: Glenn - when that wuss Mikey jumps in, ya gotta come give him yet ANOTHER beating. The new annual tradition. Whether it be Atlantic CIty, Mahwah, or now Vegas. We can say at this time next year we kicked his ass all across the USA!

Hey this is MIkey MOUTh - I'm typing under the Quahogs login because I'm done adding to these boards. Kaput  signed OFF ! Since this is under Quahogs it doesn't count 8-) You all can bite me ! Sack pretend I'm a donut !

I'm not going to Vegas to swap business conference stories with Greg, I'm going there to kick tail, pound the frail, and make bail ! You're not going to know what hit ya ! :x You can pile up Lowry, Anthony and Sack on their shoulders and they'd still be looking up at me... at my face AND the standings ALL. YEAR. LONG.

I quit my gym membership so I can work out at at home to have more time to prep  I'm actually practicing for the drafts in Vegas... lifting all that DEAD WEIGHT takes work ! Ya boy

see you suckers.. . MtM

I'll be there my friend. Not a chance I'd be skipping this one. With you & Christie, Juprinka, MtM, Dobies, Particelli, and myself, this draft has a definitive NY/NJ flavor. I feel for those from parts out west or the heartland (and especially from Canada) in this draft. I have a feeling they may not be used to our East Coast ways of "rooting" each other on. 8-)

Feel free to remove the tentative tag from my name Greg. Thanks.

Juprinka, Juprinka, Juprinka, I warned you not to lend Massotto your laptop. Lord only knows what you'll find now under "search history".

I think Mickey, like his friend is laying a little "Low" right now. His spot is reserved and will be for the duration. He can pull the "Lowy" and be the last guy in. Glenn is his "AMERICAN IDOL" afterall. :?

This is going to be a great prep for the NFBC XII drafts to take place the following day, although this is my "MAIN EVENT"!!

We should make it an Ultimate, but getting a consensus after the fact has proven difficult. Mickey is in a straight jacket and unable to respond. He's screaming "Winner take all" and "We start tomorrow". :D

All kidding aside, this will be the premier 12 team event this season. I look forward to seeing everyone in Vegas and you never know it might be a little better than the normal outstanding draft that you're used to!!

PS - Greg, I'd appreciate being listed as number "12" in this league. :D

Okay, this is OFFICIALLY SOLD OUT!! However, we need to find a way to get Jeff done with the 4 pm Auction Championship and over to this draft in time to start. We'll figure that out, though, because this league wouldn't be the same without Big Jeff in this one. Stay tuned on all of that.

Okay, here's the final lineup card and if you want out anytime soon, speak now or forever hold your peace!!

NFBC 12-Team Super League
Friday, March 22, 8 pm PT
Bellagio, Las Vegas
1. Joe Berg
2. Bob Particelli
3. Gaetan Lavoie
4. Ken Magner/Jim Christie
5. Matthew Shepherd
6. Stephen Jupinka
7. Norm Kent
8. Donn Johnson
9. Chad Schroeder
10. Glenn Lowy
11. Jeff Dobies
12. Mike Massotto

Also, I got on my hands and knees and crawled to New Jersey through a foot of snow to BEG Mikey to return to the NFBC boards!! They're not the same without Mikey firing back some one-liners to these guys. So Mike, take your shots at Glenn and Ken and get back to posting some naked photos of Jupinka!!

As for Mike and I, we had a nice talk about what happened this past week and we're cool with everything. He's just passionate about drafting and he thought all 15 owners were on board to start the $1,000 DC early. Tom and I know from experience that getting all 15 owners to agree to ANYTHING is never easy, so we were cautious before making any changes to that league. And sure enough, a couple of owners weren't keen on starting early. So we talked it through and we're cool on how to be more lenient in making changes and to understand that sometimes changes just can't be made. We're game operators who have to keep ALL opinions in mind and to weigh each one equally.

But it's all good. Mike is a great ambassador for the NFBC and he's passionate about his game. Let's see how he does in this stacked league. Welcome him back to the boards everyone and let's remember that Draft Day is only 6 weeks away!! AMAZING. Good luck all and Mikey, best of luck with this gang. This league is STACKED!! :D

Well Steve, I am a good Catholic boy, so let me give my good friend Bennie a call and see what I can do...

It wouldn't be so bad if MLB hadn't scheduled the opener for Easter night. What the hell was Bud thinking about? Oh yeah, more dollars from that one-game Wild Card playoff game. How could I have forgotten.

But we'll do our best and hopefully people will still pray at the altar of the NFBC on March 30th. ;)

Greg:

My partner in crime, Every League Luny, is also slated for the 4pm Auction. Besides Mr Dobies,
be nice if Jim finishes in time to join the start of the 12 Team Super as well. While I might have fun with
Mr Christie from time to time, it would be great to have his expertise at the table come draft night. I mean,
this guy has already done about 10 Slow Drafts and it isn't even Valentine's Day!

Add to the fact that CHIP will also be roaming free. Having THREE of us at the draft table might be
enough for my pal JOE BERG to get all upset and feel the Sack of Lunatics have an advantage! Hey Joe,
everybody is fair game for a little tweak!

Back to Massotto. If Mikey cashes in this league Mr Ambrosius, the steaks and Corona's are on me in
Vegas come 2014. Just not going to happen. Glad you stepped up to help our cause Mouth! ;)

Unfortunately, the miscommunication issues continue, as Greg yet again fails to relay to everyone what actually happened. To make a long story short, I was visited early this morning by what can only be described as a Wisconsin goon squad at my residence who easily navigated the snows of NJ to track me down. As soon as I left my house, I was surrounded by several middle-aged burly men, all with identical cheesy black mustaches for some reason, smeared in green and gold face paint, and wearing tacky foam cheese heads. They explained to me in no uncertain terms in what I can only describe as English with Canadian accents, that either I straighten up and fly right or else I would suffer a Green Bay-style, STATS beat down. Though I could barely contain my laughter as the "local authorities" (read mafia) dragged them away, it was not before that I was forced to acquiesce to their terms as demanded by Mr. Ambrosius. So for the cost of a year's supply of mustache wax, and an 8X10 autographed photo of Bret Favre's penis signed by Aaron Rodgers, I was again allowed to be reinstated to these boards and to continue to pay good money to further be ignored and dismissed for hence forward as per usual.

So lucky for all of you!

And as for the rest of you...

Magner, you have no idea how much steak I can consume in one sitting if hungry enough and with the right motivation. Your little joke of an offer is going to cost you BIG TIME. So you better start signing up for some night work down on the docks or something, because I'm holding you to it. It's also $10 per point of difference in the standings between you and I and anyone else who would like a piece of this action. Dobies learned his lesson last year in New York to the tune of a few hundred bucks, so only fitting that it's time for you to pay the fiddler this year, Sack. And given your physical condition, you're going to need Chip and Luny there just to prop you up coming off that grueling auction just before, while I will be walking in rested, fit, and prepared to kick your underestimating ass!  So joke all you want boys. I didn't plan on coming all the way out to Vegas just because I'm so popular, and for the entertainment value that I will be bringing to these competitions. So better bring your respective "A " Games. :P

And then later trying to draft and eat at the same time...bad idea!
