That's right I am #1. Blame FUDD, he picked it on the randomizer, not me.
Being a part of the first draft and a slo-draft with Jim s. leaves me with a few views:

The pairing of two former 100 grand winners is intriguing.

Seven teams that went through it the first time, I would put my money on one of them to win it.

The worst time between picks in the first draft was 53 mins, I'll take the over on jim s, if for no other reason than to light a fire under his ass and prove me wrong.

Walla Walla has been drop kicked to the curb by Shawn for Q. :D I'll team with you next time, John.

I'll miss those Boards, you newbies are in for a good time.
On my tombstone-
Wait! I never had the perfect draft!

I like how I'm probably the most inexperienced owner in the draft and I get to follow right after two champions in Haney and Jurney.. should be interesting

Other than that, I promise to keep the payroll under $1000.
With Johan's price dropping in half, I predict he'll go at least a round earlier, maybe 2+ earlier in this draft.
What round proved to be the tipping point in the MLBC/10?

Was there an actual single player you could point to that tipped it?

A-Rod was a bit of a surprise...but at the time, there was the chance everyone would fork out the dough for one high priced player...then it became clear some teams were trying to buy the championship...and the league adapted by upping payroll.

Fun draft!

Does Arod go in the first round in this draft.I would say no but probably somewhere in the 2nd round.I would think second time around that some of the bigger spenders will take advandage of the bargain's.

I thought 2nd-3rd round in the first draft, but it doesn't take a consensus opinion. One guy can change the shape of things. Unpredictable.

I realize there was this idea of a budget thing, but in the end if you pass on what some consider, including us, the best player in baseball at 9 based on a price you're silly. If we had a budget we had to get under then we would have considered someone else, but we didn't have a budget per se and we took the best player available.

Oh and Fuddster he wouldn't have made it to you in round 2.

R2P23 Rios 59 less than all the other marquis guys

R3P38 Holliday 135 (less than Beltran 185 or Soriano 160

R4P53 Hart 4 about where he should go and cheap

R5P68 Impaler 150 Vlade in the 5th? i don't care if he is old and rickity. He Mashes.

R6P83 Atkins 44 going on the cheap again and this spot seems about right

R7P98 Cain 27 nice talent and reasonable

R8P113 Wainwright 26 my pick for cy young not in the top 10 on the cheap again

R9P128 C Young 18 once again on the cheap. Expect 20-20 and the BA absorbed with the first 6 picks. The OF is full and the crowd is laughing it up good.

R10P143 F-Bomb 85 I don't care if everyone's off his wagon. It was time to spend and I think you'll find his $$$ are much better than some of the other top closers.

R11P158 Dice-K 80 Once again, don't really care that no one likes his walks. The guy is pratically unhittable and if he finds the plate, it could be a cy young for him too.

Personally, I think this league has it's nuts in a vise with this Kimo team because it only got better from there. Dare to dream, KIMO, dare to dream.... :D
