I own Lyon also, I cringed when I saw he gave up 4 homers today.

with all the knowledge i (and a few others) dropped in this thread about the backend pitchers, i expect the sheep to eat that **** up for he on-line leagues.

remember, never substitute being a lazy bastard for hard work (spending time researching). if people spent time researching him, they woulda found the news about the slider and grabbed him in their leagues. now they are on the outside looking in with someone like jesse litsch or carl pavano! :D :D :D

Do you think your team is good enough to top mine? Because you are going to have to beat this team if you want the 100K. I'd set your sights on the 20K.

Sorry but that starting staff is horrid at best. BA and homers will also be quite challenging, in my humble opinion.

While every team has a chance in March, some have better chances than others. That team falls in the latter category. Not that he would, but Gekko's got nothing to worry about there.

1. you have 5 players i wouldn't even draft in the 30th round.

2. don't like the pitching

3. i count less than 100 sb.

not gonna get it done. sorry.

The compost pile is getting deep again - assuming Andrus plays all year he is clearly over 100 with Rollins, Phillips, Andrus and Pence.

which 5 would you not draft in the 30th round?

as for individual stat categories, going by baseball HQ projections, i come out to

1043 R, 289 HR, 1143 RBI, 138 SB, .276 AVG

92 W, 86 SV, 1194 SO, 3.82 ERA, 1.27 WHIP

Now, I am not saying that I necessarily agree with those to the T, but pretty close, give or take a few.

Mark,

Only you can post a team and in a short time have six pages on the thread.

I like the backside pitchers. ;)

ever wonder why HQ doesn't do well in the nfbc? think about it.

[/QUOTE]I agree with Perry, as there is definitely more than 100 SB's here, but you should be dancing a jig if you hit .273. Hitting that poorly is like having 40 saves at years end in the BA category.

And the biggest difference is you can't pick up a strictly "BA guy" like you can a closer who just got the job.

Cust, Jacobs, Upton, Snyder, Guillen, Phillips(maybe) and I don't see one legit .300 hitter to even absorb any of that mess.

Also, your pitching looks to be very weak. Nice closers (provided they are both healthy), but the starters are shaky at best.

I wish you the best of luck!

20 steals tied up in 11 players. An injury to ONE of the three above, and you will be lucky to get above 100.

It should be between 110-120, but I see your point Mark. ;)

Mark - nice job on your team and nice job with this thread. Finally we can get some jawing on these boards again! Thanks for the shout out before as well - had a great time with you and the guys on Sat night!

As for Andrus - I agree - if he stinks up the joint why do people assume that the Rangers won't send him right back down to AAA. Guy was going way too early in drafts in my opinion.

I think drafting 2 closers at 4 and 5 is a questionable move no matter how good they are.
Sometimes I'm good and sometimes I'm bad....but I always try real hard.
