You'll click that and be in the draft room. Each pick will be emailed to you so that you can keep up with the draft results without being tied to your computer.
The etiquette of Slow Drafts is to have fun in the Live Chat area and to be ready to make your picks when you can. There is a 12-hour time limit per person, but smart people know who they want and try to get to a computer to make their picks in a timely fashion. From there, just have fun.
Good luck all and I think these will start early next week. Sorry for the continued delays, but hopefully the draft room will be open for business soon. Thanks Greg...
I hope no one is counting on me being ONE OF THOSE SMART PEOPLE. Geeze, shucks, and what not, I thought I'd found the perfect draft for us "Slow" people...the fun part I think I can handle. (I'll try to be prompt too.)

No. Sorry for the delays, but in the past week we finished projections for all hitters and pitchers and the Fanball projections will be included with each player in the draft software. It's something that we wanted on www.draftpractice.com and it helps us with our default rankings. I also went through the default rankings to get them more in line with where the first several picks and rounds will likely fall, so I think that will help early on before we get our ADPs established. And today and tomorrow all staffers are testing out the software to make sure we get the bugs out.
If all goes well, we'll be drafting mid to late this week. We want to make sure we get everything ironed out before unveiling this and then we should be good to go not only for Slow Drafts but also for all mock drafts on our draftpractice.com site. We're almost there. Thanks for your patience you die-hards.

Just click on any Sign Up Now link at nfbc.fanball.com. Then enter your username and password and go to Satellite Leagues, $150 Slow Draft. It will show a date of March 31, 2011, but we'll start as soon as we're full. We're halfway full now and should start soon. All slow drafts will start by end of this week and we'll roll them out as they fill. Again, this year we have Pay Top 3 Slow Drafts that also have overall prizes and an overall contest. Oh, and we are going 50 rounds. So be ready!!
Thanks Jeff.

Greg,
I just noticed that a draft lobby is available under *home*...Does it mean the draft rooms will be available shortly, or has it been there for a while without me noticing it?
Thanks

Thanks We are getting closer. We have to shut down some parts of the NFBC site to load this onto our site tomorrow and Wednesday. You might not have access to your current and past teams while we do this, but yes, we are getting closer. It takes some time to load this software, but it's a good sign.

We had some problems yesterday and hope to test things again this morning and get this rolling. Trust me, NOBODY wants to get these Slow Drafts rolling more than me, but we're also not going to unveil the software with bugs in it and start 2011 out like last year. I don't need certain owners railing on us right from the start. We need to get this software perfect and have no problems the rest of the way.
Unfortunately we need to test this some more today. Hang in there and I'm sorry about the delay.

The good news is that we have just TWO SPOTS LEFT for the third $150 Slow Draft league. First come, first serve for this one. We now have 43 owners ready to jump in when the software is finished. Everyone must be signed into the system and paid via credit card for us to set up these leagues. Thanks all.
Okay, here's the list for the third $150 Slow Draft:
31. George Sanscharewsky, Michigan
32. Stanley Kaye, Frisco, Texas
33. Brian Feldman, New City, New York
34. Scott Tilley, Augusta, Georgia

38. Jeff Kent, Granada Hills, California
39. Chris Garcia, Wesley Chapel, Florida
40. Adam Esmay, Fresno, California
41. Gandolfo Aiosa, Floral Park, New York
42. Kevin Anderson, Richmond, Virginia
43. Winston Sapigao, Flushing, New York

Thanks Tom tested the software this afternoon and we had two changes to make. But otherwise everything looked good. We'll have a meeting later today and provide an update. But things are looking good.
