The great history of Major League Baseball involves records and comparing one season to another. Here at the NFBC, we want to hold the same tradition and historical importance, so it's important to honor the leaders in each of our main categories.

Below are the records for each of the 10 offensive and pitching categories through our first two seasons and the leaders from both seasons. Enjoy.

It's interesting to note that five records are held by 2004 teams and five records are held by 2005 teams. Good luck everyone in 2006.

Interesting too that most hitting records set in 2004 and pitching records in 2005.

Greg, are these the records for each category or just the best performance from each year - BIG difference?

They are the best performances from each year, so No. 1 under each category is the category record. You are correct, there could be other teams that had the second-best totals under each category, but I wasn't concerned about the runnerup totals. I mainly wanted to show the record for each category and then compare that to the previous season.

All of these categories can be found when you go to Standings, click on Overall and then scroll down to the bottom of that listing. The 2005 and 2004 totals for each category can be found there for every team. Enjoy.

Greg, do you have any records for "DumbAxx Draft Selections from Owners from Duluth, GA"? It might be my only chance to make the lists!

Until I win in 2006, of course!

:D

Mr. King, I did hear rumor that your wife was spreading. She said you are on a three Brave limit on your fantasy team. Is this true?

Greg,

There's one record that you missed; I scored 141 league points. I don't think anyone will ever beat that.
