This year we are giving baseball fans twice the pleasure of drafting with the NFBC by offering our first-ever 12-Team Main Event. Our signature event since we started the NFBC has been the very tough 15-team Main Event, a contest we have sold out 7 of the last 8 years. But with most Americans playing 12-team fantasy leagues, we felt the time was right to also offer a 12-Team Main Event with a $50,000 grand prize. That event is called the NFBC XII.

With a $1,000 entry fee and offerings on both weekends in all 5 cities plus many, many Online dates, the NFBC XII is projected to reach 300 teams with a $50,000 grand prize. League prizes include $4,000 for 1st place and $2,000 for 2nd place. We also have a $75,000 cash bonus for anyone who can win the overall titles in the NFBC XII and the NFBC Main Event. Already we have more than 80 NFBC owners who have a shot at this $225,000 total as they have teams in both of our Main Events. Hey, Lindy Hinkelman accomplished this feat in the 2009 Main Event and the Online Championship when we had almost 600 teams in the OC; this should be a bit more possible with only 300 teams in the NFBC XII.

Anyway, as of today we have more than 110 teams signed up for our debut NFBC XII. We obviously hope to sell out, but even more importantly we hope this event brings in many new players to the NFBC. The 12-Team format has been great for us in the NFBC Online Championship and now we hope to expand that format with this Main Event. Join us and become our first NFBC XII National Championship, which is worth $50,000.

We've added several Online drafts to the Registration page in the past week. There was a request for Online NFBC XII's on Tuesday, March 26 and Wednesday, March 27 before the live drafts, and we added those. There was also a request for an NFBC XII Online on Tuesday, April 3rd and we added that. Here are all of the NFBC XII Online options:

Come join us for this debut event and help us build the industry's first and only 12-team National Live Event!! We know this has a chance to grow the same way that our 15-Team Main Event grew. In fact, I think a Main Event doubleheader at our live events will be a staple of the NFBC for years to come. Thanks all and join us for this one. It's possible that $225,000 awaits you, or maybe just $50,000!! Either way, it's a good payday. ;)

We're making steady progress with our debut NFBC XII Main Event this year and now have more than 140 teams signed up. We have 97 owners signed up for both Main Events now, with those owners having a shot at the $75,000 cash bonus. Here's how that works:

Win the Main Event = $100,000
Win the NFBC XII = $50,000
Win the Cash Bonus = $75,000

Actually if you add in the $5,600 Main Event league prize and the $4,000 NFBC XII league prize your total take would be more like $234,600!!! Now that would get the job done!!

I know we're going to get more NFBC veterans to grab another NFBC XII before Opening Day, but it's great to see the new owners jumping into this 12-Team Main Event. Let's keep the momentum going and fill up as many leagues as we can. This is an event we want to grow and grow each year. Thanks all.
