Pay NFBC Via Check And Receive FREE Insurance On 1 Player

Once again the NFBC will be working with Fantasy Sports Insurance to provide free insurance on one player if you pay for the NFBC Main Event, NFBC XII or NFBC Auction League via check or money order or cash. You will get a policy that pays 20% of your entry fee if that player goes on the Disabled List for 60 days or more. FSI will provide us a list of 100 players before Opening Day and after the draft you just need to pick one player from your roster to insure and FSI will give you a written policy for that coverage.

This has been a nice way of providing NFBC players with some coverage for free while quite honestly avoiding unnecessary payment to the credit card companies!! Everyone wins in this scenario involving these three NFBC events. Last year NFBC owners received thousands of dollars in payments from the likes of David Wright, Joe Mauer, Buster Posey and others who spent 60 or more days on the DL. It's not the best way to win some money in the NFBC, but on a $1,400 entry fee the $280 payment does ease a little bit of the pain.

We have not charged for any of the live events yet and we won't do that before next week. We also want to give everyone the chance to take advantage of this insurance offer, so if you had planned on paying by credit card but would like to pay via check, you can still do so by contacting Tom at [email protected]. We have plenty of time to make this happen yet. And if you are paying for these events via check and would like to pay for all of your NFBC events via check, that would be even better!! :D

Look for more details on all of this soon, but if you can pay via check or money order you may win by losing (a player that is!!). Thanks.

Checks can be made out to STATS LLC and sent to:

STATS LLC
Attn: NFBC Accounting Dept.
2775 Shermer Road
Northbrook, IL 60062

Thanks and again send Tom an email with your payment plans and we'll make accomodations when payments are due. Thanks all.

Greg, you need to change the "2%" to "20%".

I read that first paragraph and was like wow...2%? That's barely worth it!! Especially after remembering people were reimbursed much better than that last year. 20% makes it much more inviting!

Great work with this; a nice insurance policy if needed.

Sorry, no. We are asking all Super, Ultimate and Diamond League owners to pay for those leagues via check. We moved up the prizes by more than 3% for each contest this way 3 years ago with the understanding that everyone would pay via check. So the savings from the credit card companies has been given to the owners already.

Yes, of course. But I hope it doesn't pay off for you this year!!! Stay healthy this year.

Greg for those paying by check, when are you looking for payment? Also, is there a deadline on payment to be eligible for the free insurance.

FYI....I just received my $350 check for losing Jamaal Charles in the NFFC Primetime. This is the 2nd time in two years that I've received a check from these guys. They're obviously legit. Though it's small compensation for losing a player long term, it is nice to get some restitution just for having sent in a check in lieu of using a credit card.

Greg, I would like to do this too. I already signed up online with my CC for the Main in Chicago. Can you or Tom cancel my CC on that one and I would be happy to send you a check this week or whenever. Thanks

Yeah, more details to come soon. We haven't started to hit the credit cards yet, so again just email Tom that you want to pay this way and we'll wait for the check to arrive. We'll probably start hitting the credit cards the week of Feb. 22nd, so checks should arrive in that same ballpark. Eligibility for the free insurance continues to March 15th and then after that we'll probably need to take credit cards to secure your spots. Sound good?
