NFBC Countdown Page Coming Soon

Okay, we didn't get all of this done today, but we wanted to show you what we're going to be able to do when it comes to a nice, easy-to-read Countdown Page for all of our remaining contests and events. The look of the page can be seen under HOME, COUNTDOWN. We'll put it a link to it on most every page soon, but first we have to add a few more enhancements.
Anyway, this is the concept of the Countdown Page:

Now, here's how it's going to work once we're done:
On the NFBC Home Page, above Lindy's photo, we'll have an area that will allow Tom and I to update the latest draft with remaining spots left. So let's say it's March 16th and we have ONLY 2 SPOTS LEFT in the March 18th Online Championship League. We'll feature that league on the home page and it will automatically count down to 0 from the Registration page. We can then add the next league close to signing and alert our players there. That spot will actually be on every League and Contest page as well, so NFBC owners won't have to work to find the next league close to selling out. For crazies like Every League Luny, this will be the lure that will draw them into 20+ NFBC leagues this year!!!

Okay, so that spot is going to be the area where we are going to make our online leagues become impulse buys. We hope to alert folks to the next $125 satellite league, next $250 with a handful of openings, the next Online Championship league that will fill, etc. And we'll alert folks to the last remaining Main Event signups there, too. There's still a lot of design work yet to be done to finish that massive project, but it's coming soon. CAN'T WAIT!!!
As you can see from our Countdown Page, we need to separate the various products and we're doing that now. But again, we wanted to show you the concept of the page. We will have an area or page that will list the four national championships separately and how many spots remain in each one. So look for a one-pager or front page that shows:
NFBC Main Event: 390 spots capacity, 300 spots sold, 90 sports remaining
NFBC XII: 300 spots capacity, 130 spots sold, 170 spots remaining
NFBC Auction Championship: 135 spots capacity, 123 spots sold, 12 spots remaining
NFBC Online Championship: 600 spots capacity, 100 spots sold, 500 spots remaining
We'll then be able to have pulldowns or tabs that will list just the Main Event locations and remaining spots in each venue/contest. So you'll see a separate Main Event tab with the 8 offerings, separate NFBC XII tab with all of those offerings, separate NFBC Auction Championship tab, separate NFBC Online Championship tab, and separate NFBC Satellite League tab. It will be a one-stop page to check the latest signups in all of the NFBC contests and remaining spots in any of the contests you may be thinking of joining. This is going to be VERY COOL!! Sorry Bart Scott, but gotta say it again: CAN'T WAIT!!!
And again, we are going to have this accessible on most pages through a link on the right rail above Lindy's winning picture. And maybe in other ways. We want this link to this page to be right in front of you everywhere you go on the NFBC site. This will be the biggest selling tool since I started doing "10 SPOTS LEFT" on the Message Boards!!
And it will all be automated through our Registration page, which is the time-consuming task right now. But damn, this is going to be nice.
So take a look at the concept and realize that we still have a week's worth of work left to make this just right. But the concept is there and it will be ready to roll full-swing before the satellite and Online Championship season gets really going. And of course this whole concept will be ready for the NFFC as well, where I know we are going to monetize this in many ways for our online offerings in 2012. I'm very excited about this for football as well.
Again, check it out and realize it's still an unfinished product, but we wanted you to see what we've been working on in addition to the other enhancements we announced this week. The IT guys are really doing a nice job and adding to the system. But nothing will monetize our site more than this Countdown Page, and I'm VERY excited about that.
