No Go On April 1st 7 pm ET Super League

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Mon Mar 12, 2012 2:18 pm

We now have 5 full Super Leagues, which is 2 more than we had last year. That's a great jump for this format and one that we're very proud of. THANKS EVERYONE!!

Unfortunately, we have two dates where we had more signups than spots available and some of our good customers are still on the outside looking in. I'd love to get them into another Super League if I could and maybe there are a few other folks thinking the same way. So let's try for one more:

We already have full Supers on the following dates:
Friday, March 23 in Mahwah
Sunday, March 25 in LV/Online
Saturday, March 31 in LV/Online
Sunday, April 1 in LV/Online
Tuesday, April 3 Online

I will offer two options. Right now we have three owners on the list for Tuesday, April 3rd, but I don't think it makes sense to duplicate that date. How about:
Sunday, April 1st at 7 pm ET in LV and Online
or
Wednesday, April 4th at 7 pm ET

I know there is one game on Thursday night, but what the heck, it could be fun on Opening Day. I'd have to check with IT to see how we handle that, but it's just a thought. The Sunday night Super does have some interest from a few owners already, so I'll lead off with a signup list for that one. But if Thursday night makes sense, let's consider. Just email me at [email protected] if you have any interest or post here and we'll add it to the Registration page once we've figured this out. If we don't fill a 6th Super League, that's fine, but at least we gave it a try. Thanks all.

Greg, that early game is on Wednesday night 4/4 -- Thursday has Opening Day games for a lot of teams.

Greg,

You might want to consider this for a 12 Team Super League. The prospects of it selling out increase and the 12 team format may attract a new player or two :D

Rob Silver just added his name to the list, so we have 4 owners who will definitely do this now. I don't know if we can fill it up or not, but I thought I'd keep it out there. Again, there are 4 spots filled. Let's see how far this takes us. Thanks all.

Here's the current signup list:

Please add Andy Saxton/ Jeff Dobies as your 5th team. I will register if there is an appropriate selection to do so. I didn't see it at first glance.

I've decided not to pursue this 6th Super League anymore and will move forward with the plan we have in place. That decision allows all 5 owners to move on with their plans. Ron Householder grabbed a Second Weekend Main Event and that helps the cause more than a 6th Super League. As you said Andy, you're considering an NFBC XII and again that helps more than this full league. This would have been tough to fill anyway. We tried, but now it's time to move on. Sorry but thanks all.

Okay, time to fill up those final live event spots and then get ready for the live drafts. Thanks all.
