League 1. Looks like I got my 8th KDS preference spot :? .

I see I’m with some of the usual suspects, Dave and Dave in the wheel positions of 14-15; Rich sitting next to me at 7 taking my players; I’ll get to meet my fellow Cubs fan Max on the other side of me at 9; and of course some of the other Chicago regulars that I’ve played against over the years. I’ll also get to meet some of the new Chicago people.

It wasn’t all that long ago (2010) that we had 4 Main Event leagues in Chicago, even then there was a good chance to play against the same guys each year. Now that we are down to two leagues, it’s starting to feel like a home league, except for the $100,000  :D .

I live in the western suburbs of Chicago and it will take me about 50 mins to get to the draft. I was thinking about heading out there early and going out for a mid-morning breakfast (9:30 ish). I don’t have any particular place picked out yet, but my sister lives in that area and she could probably recommend a place. If anyone (league 1 or 2) is interested in meeting for breakfast before the draft let know and we can plan something. Otherwise I will see you guys next week. :)

My posse and I may be interested in that Russel, let me know once you pick a place.

And I was lucky enough to receive pick 14, which was my #1 preference in KDS :D

See you guys at the draft! My wife and I are headed down there on Friday night and after I send her to the spa on Saturday, I will be heading over to start Christmas in Spring! Can't wait to explode from my 9th overall choice in the 9 Spot
Safe travels all!

Russel,

I may be up for breakfast that morning... We will be leaving from Nashville on Thursday morning. Going to the aquarium on Friday but all open Saturday morning. Will get back to ya... I'm staying with family in Tinley Park over the weekend.

Excited for next weekend and always fun to get my ID necklace (I'm guessing this year it will be a Tom Pastornicky donruss card).
