If you want honesty, I think you are gonna struggle. You had some really good picks and your pitching has a lot of upside. I would worry about power...... Good luck.. hope I am wrong...

you're definitely short on power

I like some of your SP picks, you might be ok there

Duda was way to early. Ankiel I would not have drafted, as with Pill, also. there should be some decent FABB players out there, Like David Desjus, Marlon Byrd, players like that. Pitching is pretty good, but again, there should be plenty of available pitching that may allow you to make inprovements there too. I agree you need more power, so go after that if you can.

The best advise anybody could give you IMO is to use the resource of the ADP that is provided by the NFBC. 3.8 E. Bonofacio was taken about 5 Rounds early and E Andrus was also taken about 1.5 Rounds early. This is a pretty tough crowd to be taking players that early, when there are players with much more value still available.
Best of luck in your second draft!

Probably gonna end up writing this one off as an experience getting. Honest opinion, probably the worst team I've seen drafted this year. Votto was good at 8, but the 2nd and 3rd rounds are so tragic that it's probably an insurmountable obstacle to overcome.

(I had a lot more written, but there was going to be no end to comments on this roster, so I'm just gonna end it here.)

Way short on power. I'm also wondering about this pick:

6.8 L. Duda

I like the player and took him in round 14 in a slow draft, and was wondering at the time if I pulled the trigger too early on him. No way is this guy a 6th rounder. There were much safer picks on the board at this point. I'm also in agreement with Cali Cartel --- your 2nd and 3rd round picks won't be able to be overcome. Both players were picked in place of much better options.

You ever post your teams Cartel. Would be intersted in seeing how your teams look? This player seems new, but should learn a lot this year. I think he can get it competitive, but it will require smart and early FAAB moves. some of the picks taken too early have hurt, but it could have been a lot worse.

To defend Cali, he has posted his teams here. I think you need to see from his response that he was trying to be honest. I think the original poster did well with some of his picks and I am definitely for getting the players you want, but the fact is, his early picks have left him short on power numbers to an extent that he might not be able to overcome, since HRs and RBIs are probably the hardest categories to pick up in FAAB. I was a little nicer in my response, but I think if this guy was looking for us to lie to him, then why post your team? Obviously he is new, but how do you ever learn if you don't hear the truth?

Was'nt implying anything about Cali, It just seemed that if this is a new player, better choices of words or review couldve gotten the same point accross. "worst team I've seen drafted this year", "tragic" "insurmountable obstacle to overcome".
Pretty harsh IMO.

I apologize if I wasn't *nice* enough to the new player, but the worst thing he can think is he did a good job, only to be completely disappointed when he finishes in the bottom 3 of this league. If we let him know now that's he's in a deep hole, maybe he can get a jump on some early power hitting wavier guys.

I'm not someone who holds their opinion back in this type of forum, if I'm asking I'd rather people told me the truth about my rosters, so I'm going to do the same for them. If you don't like what I'm gonna say, please don't post a bad roster for me to critique, it's not like my opinions are going to affect the outcome of your team -- use my negative comments as fuel to go out and manage the hell out of your roster and win, the draft is just step one in the long road of the fantasy season. This isn't the first time I've said someone's team was bad this year, but it is the worst overall roster I've seen this year -- and that's including some very solid players on the roster.

P.S. -- think I've posted 2 of my rosters here (done 4 so far, three OC's and last weekend's Main online).

I too am in this league. Does this mean I should look forward to at least 14th? :P
