Cabrera defense

One game, actually just 6 innings, and one error for the Tigers 3b. A hard shot at Miggy - right at him - he stood up and backed up, waving the ball into left field. That's not major league defense ... it's bad defense for my softball league. Speaking in cliches, the ball played him. That play kept Verlander on the mound for another 10 or so pitches in the inning. On the play before that he fell down nearly missing a foul pop-up, looking like Tommy Lasorda coaching third trying to avoid a line drive. Meanwhile, Ryan Raburn is at DH. How long will this last?

Was thinking the same thing KJ. Verlander then walked a guy after the error by Miggy and had to work for the first time in he day. Verlander was not happy...

I'm a big Detroit guy and I didn't take Valverde on a single team. I don't think he makes it to June with the job.
I do have Verlander on a few. At least they won!!!

Unless this is for another league, I hope you mean 10, right?
"a) Players who played at least 20 games at any position in 2011 will qualify at that position for the entire 2012 NFBC season.
Players who play 10 games at a new position in 2012 will be eligible at that position after they have played there for the 10th time during the 2012 MLB regular season."

Yes, I went brain dead for a moment. Probably wishful thinking on my part. I have Miggy and Trumbo (19th round) on one team. It can't get here fast enough!!

I find that extraordinarily hard to believe when he went 49 for 49 last year.

ask another older closer about perfection.. one brad lidge. he absolutely imploded after his perfect season and if you had seen tigers baseball the last few years you would know that valverde is anything but a sure thing. part of the reason they brought in and over paid for benoit ( i believe)
