Pineda done for the year!

Post by mlbbug » Wed Apr 25, 2012 4:36 pm

Another pitcher bites the dust today as Michael Pineda is now done for the year :o :o . The official diagnosis is "anterior labral tear" with is layman's terms means he tore the labrum in his right( throwing) shoulder. It sure looks like the 171 IP he piled up last year did him in. Hopefully his owners had the NFBC insurance on him   .Not sure why these things never seem to get discovered in physicals when the player gets traded :?: . So much for all those who were saying the Yankee rotation was "too crowded". As Joe Torre used to say, these things have a way of working themselves out.Yankee fans are now eager anticipating the return of Andy Pettitte  .

Greg Ambrosius wrote:Okay, anyone who pays for a Main Event team, NFBC XII team or Auction Championship team by cash, check or money order is eligible for free insurance on one player from the list below provided by Fantasy Sports Insurance. You can pick that one player after Draft Day and send that to me or Tom and we'll get you a policy worth 20% of your entry fee. If that player winds up on the Disabled List for 60+ days, you receive payment. It's as easy as that.

Again, don't do anything yet other than pay for these entries (and what the heck, pay for your other entries that way too) by check, cash or money order and then make sure you draft one of these from the Top 100!! Thanks again to Fantasy Sports Insurance for providing this policy and good luck to everyone. I hope nobody has to cash in one of these stars, but if they do go down with a season-ending injury I hope you have insurance on them. Good luck.

Obviously, the Yankees knew this was going to happen which is why they brought Pettite out of retirement. I happily picked him up in the last few rounds in my NFBC XII draft...

I had the same thoughts but got a little greedy and kept saying to myself"wait another round, he 'll still be there" and waited too long and lost the chance to roster him   . Sure hope I don't regret that move  .

Gekko, good move on your part. I guess a check for a 20% payout is small consolation but it sure beats a sharp stick in the eye :o :o :o !
