Aubrey Huff was placed on the DL with "anxiety disorder" !!! WTF? Maybe that's why he failed to cover 2nd base in a crucial late-inning game the other night (they ran out of MI so Huff was at 2B) and left the SS with no one to throw to !! This is good news for long suffering Belt fans as he'll likely get a healthy dose of PT in Huff's absence .

...and I will be activating him in several of my line-up's for this weekend, thanks to the shrink who came up with this "diagnosis" for Huff. Maybe he was suffering from some sort of deep seeded severe guilt complex from knowing that Belt should have had the job since day one and the Giants shouldn't have been jerking him around for so long!

Nahhh...SF will never do anything so nice. They will probably have him...I shudder to say the word...platoon!!!!...with Pill!

And yet Belt sits for the potentially tasty matchup vs. Arroyo in Cincy. Huff or no Huff, there will still be no clarity to the situation with Posey starting 30-40 games at 1B and the bi-weekly start Pill will get. With Huff out of the picture for the next two weeks, I think that will only compound the frustration for those (myself included) who own Belt. It's pretty obvious to me by now that Boch just doesnt' trust Belt to play everyday as he's had numerous opportunities to show that trust since Opening Day of 2011.

I thought maybe Bochy had been fired when I saw this. Short of that, none of this matters.

what has belt done again to deserve more ab's?
the club asked him to change his mechanics and approach at the plate and to date, he has not. if/when he does, i imagine he'll get more consistent ab's, but from what i hear, they aren't too impressed with him right now.

I don't get the sense of entitlement that RotoWorld and Belt owners have.
He hasn't really shined when given chances. So far, he has hit like....Aubrey Huff.

numbers put up in the pcl by hitters just don't count. there are 35 year old has been corners and outfielders hitting .300 and hitting 25 homers in the pcl. it is like colorado on steroids. rizzo smoked the pcl and hit about a 100 in sd.

Belt will probably be a stud 3 yrs from now when no one wants him anymore. The Bautista, Melky, Francouer track.

Although Frenchy seems to be backtracking - he might be turning into Aubrey Huff.
