Change Suggestion for Setting Lineups

Post by G1AZM » Fri May 04, 2012 3:17 pm

This is a suggested programming change:

Instead of locking a player's lineup position when he plays in an early game, simply remove the bench option from the drop down list when the player's game starts. That way you're commited to playing or benching the player before his game starts, but you still have the ability to use his positional flexibility.

This is the first time I've faced it, but it's very frustrating that you can't set the lineup you want because you can't shift an available position player that is already locked in your lineup and this change would remedy that problem.

I think this is a great idea.
My response to people trying to change my baseball loyalties.

A great suggestion.
My main thought with the Cubs early game today was to remove any Dodgers-Cubs from the Utility spot, so as to have more manueverablity for later, with this idea it wouldn't have to be a thought.
Good idea, Michael.

Yeah I agree. One shouldn't have to move guys to a position from utility etc, just to loosen up your own flexibility. It should not be necessary but is as it stands. Same things needs to be put into play for football also. Somehow I thought I remember it being possible in football, but hardly anyone knew about it? Am I dreaming that or is there a way? And if so, is that same method available to us in baseball as well? If so, can someone explain how it is done. Thanks.

I will ask about this enhancement. We do have something similar to this in the NFFC, so I'll see what can be done here.
