Okay, we will announce the draft orders for each city today, quite possibly before noon CST. We are picking the draft orders right now, so keep your fingers crossed. As I stated yesterday, we are using two KP staff members to randomly pick the draft order for each city. T.S. O'Connell, our 50s-something baseball card guru who knows absolutely nothing about fantasy baseball, is picking the names out of the hat to prove that there is no impartiality, with a whole staff as your witness. If you think my nine-year-old had no clue what she was doing this weekend picking the New York Auction League order, you should see T.S.



Our old card curmudgeon is doing the process now and I'll announce the picks later. Best of luck everyone.

For all that, why settle for the 2nd pick?



Is there a consensus Top 5 yet?

Ok, they announced almost an hour ago that the draft draw was under way...



That's 12 main event leagues and 2 auction leagues to draw... you divvy them up in league assignments. That probably took a good 30 minutes to get the names in the correct pot.



I figure the order is more a function of recording it properly vs. time-consuming 'draw' - so let's assume it takes about 5 minutes per league to draw and record.



That gives them about 60 minutes to get the order set. With 'the whole office watching' - I bet they are entering the draft into a post as it's being done. That gives them approximately 17 minutes to post time.



What's the over/under on 17 minutes to find out?!

DYV - Should be less than that using your formula. They are not picking AL or NL auctions for Vegas today. They are going to wait to see if they can add the 3 missing teams. I expect they will pick those around mid-week.

The over/under for the first league to be posted is 10:30:30 Central. The o/u for all leagues is 11:30:30.

Hey Tedd I also signed up they sead that the left overs are gong to be put in a league that includes all 3 cities and will draft over the phone.

How about picking the auction lges today too with "Team X" and "Team Y" for the potentially unfilled spots?
