Before I go and ask to get a more usable format for adds ands drops I thought I would ask the board community. Right now the current board Posting is impossible to put into excel (if someone knows better please advise!!!). Personally I would love to see posted in an excel file but I was curious if this was just me.
And yes, this would be a lower priority ask than fixed, fast real time scoring;)

Re: Question for everyone on add/drop format
It's very simple to manipulate in Excel, you'll need to get familiar with the "Replace" and "Text to Column" functions.
1. Highlight the Add or Drop post text
2. Paste it into a blank Excel workbook
3. Highlight all the text you just pasted into Excel (should just be 1 column worth of text)
4. Go to the "Find & Select" graphic under the Home menu ribbon and select "Replace..."
5. In the Replace field that says "Find What", type <space>NFBC<space> (put in actually spaces, not the "<space>")
6. In the Replace field that says "Replace with", simply type a "+" and click "Replace All"
7. Now, highlight the column of text again (if it isn't still highlighted), then find the Data menu ribbon and select "Text to Columns" function.
8. Choose the "Delimited" option and click "Next"
9. In the "Other" field put a "+" and click "Finish"
This should result in the player names being the only thing left in the first column, with the remainder of the data put into the next column(s). If you need something out of that data, you can repeat the process, just change the NFBC in step 5 to whatever text is located at the point you want to split the text.
It may seem hard if you haven't used the functions before, but it's actually pretty easy to do after a few tries (you may have to hit Undo a few times and try again if you make an error).

a different way is:
Open new blank excel workbook. go to appropriate web page, (Transaction History), (Free agent Rankings) any page really with the info you want. Highlight the data you want copied, including column headings, right click mouse, hit copy. Then go to blank excel page, right click on top first left cell and hit paste. once that is done, click on the little arrow on the spreadhseet in the top left, right click and hit copy. Now copy this to a blank sheet in the same excel file, do the same thing (top left arrow, select paste special, then select Values, then paste. you now have all the data, with columns, no hyper linking, no colors (jsut balck and white) and sortable nay way you want. you can actually create the first one as template the way you want future ones to look like.
I know this works in office 2007 and 2010.

I think he was looking to get the list from the Message Board Add/Drop posts (I could be wrong though).Outlaw wrote:a different way is:

Yes Cali I was looking for how to convert the weekly add/drop board postings. I appreciate everyone's help though and will definitely try these tips!
