FAAB System Trouble?

Post by JohnP » Sun May 20, 2012 5:55 pm

For some reason I am getting hung up with FAAB stuff the last 30 minutes or so. It is just happening in one league and not the others. Very strange. I try to move a guy up and it just goes into "working" status and never gets out of it. I hit refresh and I lose the bid. I tried a couple different browsers - same thing. Anyone else having same / similar issue?

I had the same problem on a couple bids, but nothing too bad. It finally worked after a few times. Pretty frustrating when you are pushing the deadline, but I ended up getting mine in except for one conditional bid "at the buzzer."

Have some MI issues and was trying to bump up Amarista a spot or two. Oh well - if my team depends on Amarista....I am in some trouble :).

John P., I am pretty sure I have an idea what you encountered (as I have encountered similar issues).

Do you happen to have multiple teams? And if you do, do you happen to have multiple browser windows open at once?

If No to either question then your issue is different... but if you have multiple teams, have multiple windows open... the session cookie is only able to keep one league active in memory.

I keep multiple windows open showing all my bids from all my leagues. But the problem is I go back to a league which is NOT the league I am currently connected to... and if you try to change bids or move guys up, the system is confused and will cause odd effects.

There is not much they can do programatically to resolve this because you are trying to change "stale" data that is no longer part of the current active team you have stored in the cookie.

If this is not your issue, can't help ypu. But this may be useful for others that have multiple teams to make sure you only work on teams that are the team that you are currently logged in with. Otherwise you will get odd side effects.
