Any More Satellite Leagues?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Wed Mar 01, 2006 1:46 pm

I apologize to everyone who wants to get in a satellite league and is finding them full. The demand has exceeded our expectations as we filled 12 drafts and one auction league. We probably could have done more, but we already have our hands full with the live drafts and auctions and this takes up a lot of time as well.

However, I've had a lot of interest from guys who want to prep for the main event beforehand. I'm not sure we can fill in another satellite league as we have the auction on Monday, four satellite league drafts on Tuesday and two more on Thursday. That leaves us with Wednesday and Friday of next week open if we wanted to add any. I guess we could do one more on Thursday if needed.

I won't create a signup page, but if I see enough interest to form another league next week, I guess I'd do it. We'd just do a random draft order, not KDS, to expedite things.

So against my better judgement, I'll just put out the possibility that we could do another satellite league or two next week. Maybe a $250 on Wednesday and a $100, $250 or $500 on Thursday or Friday. Just a thought.

Leave your name here and e-mail me at [email protected] if you have any interest. I can't promise anything, but I'll see. I think the interest is there.

Hi Greg. I would do a $100 or $250 (preferably $250) Satellite league (not interested in winner takes all leagues) next week. Sorry only available Thursday or Friday night next week. Thanks in advance.

There seems to be interest in a $250 NFBC Satellite League on Wednesday, March 8th. I'll pursue that for now and if we get 15 by Monday morning, we'll add it. Here's the tentative signup list right now:

$250 NFBC SATELLITE LEAGUE

Wednesday, March 8th, 7 p.m. EST

1. Douglas Lukas

2. Chris Fargis

3. Lance Turbes

4. Greg Morgan

5. Brent Grooms

6. Brent's co-manager

7. Ed O'Donnell (tentative)

That's a start. Add your name on this thread and I'll see if there's enough interest for this league, which would be hosted on Mock Draft Central.com. Thanks.

Hey folks, if any of you are not in our events this year could you please send me an e-mail letting me know who you are and that you're in this satellite league should it come to fruition? That will help us quite a bit in terms of getting everything taken care of. My e-mail is [email protected].

Thanks.

Emmett and Brian each posted at 7:12 CST, with Brian e-mailing me to say he wanted in. Tom will contact the first 15 owners tomorrow to get payment and if all 15 commit we'll pick the random draft order and post that tomorrow afternoon. Sound good?

Brian, you're our first alternate right now. I know John Zaleski wants a spot, too, so we have plenty of options. I guess this wasn't such a bad idea after all. :D
