Got to love how the severity of the news comes out AFTER our weekly FAAB period. Wonder if any owners will be caught with their pants down.

*Cody Ross was diagnosed with a fractured navicular bone in his left foot. Probably gone months
*Vance Worley (elbow) will see Dr. James Andrews on Monday. Probably gone months
*Lance Berkman talks retirement after likely ACL injury‎. Gone for season

It figures. It had to Neftali. You might not have him Gekko, but I have him on 40 percent of my 132 teams. Oh, the misery! Right Doughy? ;)

All joking aside, Mondays always seem to bring bad tidings. The only good part about this and the other injuries we've already seen this particular Monday, is that for a change we've found out about them early enough to make changes in our lineups!

Now, THERE is a guy with a great sense of humor.
Lovin it, Glenn!

I'm a little in mourning too, not because of Robin Gibb, but Cody Ransom was let go today by the Diamondbacks.
I love the fact that he's had 11 Big League seasons without 100 at bats in any of them.
A true test to fortitude.
By the way, the writers at RotoWorld said, 'Ransom showed his true colors by going one for his last 15.'
To which I'd like to say Brandon Belt INVENTED the 1 for 15 stretch, but it is always Giants Management fault!
Stepping away from the podium......

This news makes it a bit tougher to keep that sense of humor. Crazy season.

So far the three reliever conversion projects (Feliz, Sale and Bard) have proven to be less than ideal. Here's hoping one of them can prove worthy of the spot.

I say we go all in, embrace the injuries, petition Greg and Tom to make the NFBC a head to head game and start arguing how long the playoff round should be.

Feliz will be a hard guy to hold onto. Out 'til July, assuming the timetable doesn't get pushed back, and then you gotta hope he's still effective and the elbow doesn't act up again. He's on one of my teams and will probably be available on the waiver wire 7 days from now.

Especially with the news that they're looking a little closer at Oswalt now. There may not be a spot available in the rotation if they sign him. The Rangers may look to protect Feliz with a less demanding role when he returns.

Vernon Wells will need surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb and will be sidelined for at least 8-10 weeks.

Looks like Trumbo is a fulltime outfielder. Hunter too. I feel bad for all the Bourjos owners (I have him in 1 slow draft). Kid is struggling this year and can't get any PT. I still remember the slow draft where a "good" fantasy owner told me that Bourjos was the bomb and Trout wouldn't sniff any at bats this year.

Dr. Gekko has made his Diagnosis - So that the wall street guys can get him on the cheap for august and september when the Rangers are securing thier spot in the playoffs. Sounds like the Facebook strategy, except no one came to the party, with what, 86% of the shares picked up by the big 3 firms, cause the little guy would'nt bite.... now MS is figuring out how to write off 50-70 Billion in loss when FB goes crap in 18 months.

Moral of the story - never trust Wall Steet again.... lest you want your last nickel stolen.

That's funny!
Unless you were 'Anonymous' in a Slo Draft of mine, the same conversation took place in my slo draft.
It's amusing that we can get so steadfast behind players in the off-season, not knowing what circumstances will do to that thought process.

Bourjos will get his fair share of time again. There are plenty of AB's to divvy up between Him, Morales and Trumbo. Right now Trumbo has the corner OF spots, 1B to rest Puljos, 3B and DH spots for AB's. Morales may be the odd man out for less AB's. There will be a lot of owners trying to get Bourjos if he's available this weekend.
