Win $100,000+ In This Year's NFFC

I know these are our baseball Message Boards and to some of you it's sacreligeous to talk about any sport that doesn't have four bases and a pitcher's mound  , but with the All-Star break coming up I thought it would be okay for a small commercial break. I know that many of our die-hard NFBC owners first start taking a look at the schedule and our Schedule of Events during the All-Star break, so I thought I'd create one thread here where you can find most of the information and links for each contest.

We are VERY EXCITED about our football offerings this and some of the things we are working on now will impact the NFBC in 2013 as well. For one thing, we are back to producing magazines for the moment thanks to a special partnership that we forged with another company. We can't officially announce it yet, but we should be able to in the next week and this NFFC co-branded magazine will hit newsstands in early August. Again, there will be more news to come about this soon and with any luck it will lead to an NFBC co-branded magazine next winter.

That's the first good news. Next up are our NFFC offerings in 2012. We have four national contests that have grand prizes of $150,000, $100,000, $75,000 and $10,000. We have introduced our Slow Draft National Championship -- now called the NFFC Draft Champions National Championship -- and those drafts are already going on. We've had more than a dozen of these drafts already, including two fast/slow drafts on Friday nights. We hope to offer more of those Friday night 30-round DCs in July and August if you'd rather draft in one night rather than over two weeks. And once again we are the only contest with the 14-team Classic format and the 12-team Primetime format. Here's the details on all of this:

NFFC Primetime
Our 12-Team Main Event now has a $150,000 grand prize and a league prize that has grown to $6,000 for first place and $9,500 for each league. 2nd place = $3,000 and 3rd place = $500 as the entry fee for the Primetime this year is $1,500. We have live drafts over Labor Day weekend (Aug. 31-Sept. 2) in Las Vegas at the Bellagio and in Manhattan at the Hotel Pennsylvania next to Penn Station and Madison Square Garden, and of course Online. We also have Online drafts during the week and then again in Las Vegas, Chicago, New York and Online Sept. 6-8. All leagues will be able to set their Week 1 starting lineups AFTER the Sept. 5th opener between the Giants and Cowboys no matter when they drafted. That allows us all to draft over both weekends. NFBC veteran Dave Clum is our defending NFFC Primetime champion, having won the $100,000 grand prize in dramatic fashion last year. One new addition for the Primetime this year is that the Top 3 teams in each league advance to the Championship Round, providing a better shot at the $150,000 grand prize for more teams. Here's the link for more details on the Primetime:

NFFC Classic
Our signature event enters its 9th season as the only 14-team contest in the industry. The majority of our satellite leagues will be 14-teamers and we've increased our league prizes to make the Classic even more enticing in 2012. First place in the Classic Leagues is now $7,000, while 2nd place is $3,000 and 3rd place is $1,500. No other contest offers $11,500 in league prizes. Also for the first time, the Classic will be held over both weekends and owners will have the same ability to watch the Sept. 5th game and set their Week 1 starting lineup after that. We'll be in Las Vegas and New York both weekends for the Classic, Online throughout Aug. 29-Sept. 8, and in Chicago at the Hyatt Regency on Sept. 7-8. Michael Treffiletti is our defending Classic champion, having edged his brother Joseph for last year's $100,000 grand prize. This year's grand prize is $75,000 based on only 322 teams and will increase for every league we get above that. Here's the link for more details on the NFFC Classic:

NFFC Online Championship
We have seen how the Online Championship has grown in baseball and football these last few years and realize that $350 is a perfect price point for some owners. This year we are making the grand prize a big selling point as we have grown the NFFC Online Championship to $100,000 and expanded drafts all the way to Saturday, Sept. 8th. You can now compete in the NFFC Online Championship after the Sept. 5th just like you can in the Primetime and Classic and draft during that final weekend. The first 12-team drafts will begin on July 12th and in fact that one is full already. The top two teams from each league advance to the Championship Round for a shot at the $100,000 grand prize, while 1st place in each league is now worth $1,600 and 2nd place is worth $500. NFBC veteran John Rundle is the defending champ in this contest, having won the $60,000 grand prize last year when we finished with 948 teams. This year we are shooting for 1,596 teams. Here's the details on this contest:

NFFC Draft Champions Championship
If you just want to draft your team and then let the chips fall where they may, this is the contest for you. This is similar to our NFBC Slow Draft Championship as we allow 8 hours per pick with 14 teams and 30 rounds. However, after the Draft is done your work is done as the computer will actually pick the optimal scoring lineup for 16 weeks for every team in the league. The Top 3 teams in each league win prizes ($950, $300, $150) and the overall grand prize is $10,000. This is a great, great way to enjoy football without all of the weekly headaches of free agency and setting your starting lineup. We already have 13 full leagues and expect July and August to be very busy. Prizes are based on 56 leagues. Here's the details on this contest:

We have many other contests to enjoy, so check out the web site at nffc.stats.com and just click on the Leagues link. Everything is detailed there. You can do almost anything online, but the live drafts should be a lot of fun as we're in Las Vegas during the first weekend of college football and the NFL season, and in Manhattan both weekends. Check out each city here:

Tom and I will also be in Atlantic City Aug. 18-19 for the debut Fantasy Football Fest convention. This is a very interesting concept and something that could move to baseball if this one succeeds. Check it out at www.fantasyfootballfest.com. The NFFC will be providing live $150 Draft Champions Leagues there and all of our 12-team satellite league formats. If you're in the area and want to draft live at an affordable level with great prizes, come and join us.

If you have any questions about any of our football offerings, feel free to let us know. You can contact me at [email protected] or at 715-254-5553. About half of our NFFC participants are also NFBC participants, so when you find the time feel free to check out our football offerings and secure your spot in any of the contests. We don't hit any credit cards until Aug. 1st, so no worries there. We just need your commitment, not your money at this point.

Thanks all and good luck the rest of the way this baseball season. And then when you're ready for football, we'll have something for everyone. Should be a fun, fun football season.

Those of you on the east coast ...we are looking to do a SUPER on 8/31 very similar to the MtM super from baseball. Basically a best of the best East Coast super to kick off the show in NYC.

Any interest let me know..or visit the NFFC board. I am lead recruiter on this one.

Thanks!
