First time in NFBC and I know rule number for a fantasy player is to know the rules inside and out. I popped into the NFBC (Online) last second in an effort to get back into the roto baseball world after many years away. I know I had it in my mind we could not draft players in the minors but maybe I was mistaken.
was looking for a quick answer as opposed to having to go look it up. Thanks!

You can draft anyone you want, but if you mean free agent pickups, here it is from the rules:
12. Free Agents
Any player who is not on a team roster within your league and is on a major league roster or once was on an NFBC team in your league is considered a free agent for that league. Even players on the MLB disabled list are eligible to be picked up during the FAAB bidding process. The player pool is deemed closed of new free agents each Sunday at 7 AM ET before the FAAB bidding deadline and a player must have played at least 1 MLB game to be added to the pool at that time. Participants should note that MLB unsigned veteran free agents at the time of Draft Day are eligible to be picked up or bid on in all NFBC leagues.

Thanks for the reply... No, I meant draft... Could we have drafted Bryce Harper or Trout? I had though (and maybe I was wrong) those guys were not allowed to be drafted. I also though you could not faab bid on anyone until added to the active roster... I was just wondering if I am wrong or right.

Yes, EVERY player is eligible to be drafted in any NFBC league. We do not have any limitations on Draft Day for the player pool. However, after Draft Day if they haven't been drafted yet and aren't in the major leagues, then you can't pick them up via free agency until they are promoted to the big leagues.
Those owners who drafted Trout and Bryce Harper risked using one Reserve spot on players who were likely starting the year in the minors. They risked a valuable Reserve roster spot and have been duly rewarded. Some owners also drafted Nolan Arrenado and have reserved him, without the same results. So there's risk and reward with drafting minor-leaguers, but yes we do allow it.
