Wow, very, very interesting. I didn't expect to see Major League Baseball drafting on Easter night. Is anyone else surprised by that?

I realize that they needed to move the start of the season up to get in this extra game of wild cards, but I didn't expect them to move from a Wednesday start back to the Sunday night opener. Weather could be a problem on April 1st for that many openers, but hey, PLAY BALL, right Bud? Not much time to practice as a team after the WBC either, right?

Okay, that clears things up for the NFBC. First Weekend will be March 22-24 and we'll discuss draft dates for a Second Weekend. I could see March 28-30, but we'll discuss shortly. Thanks Todd. The road map has now been laid out there for us. We'll discuss everything shortly.

Ummm, I'm sure you meant playing on Easter night Greg, but at least it shows that your mind is focused on where it should be.....our drafting!! ;)

I think this schedule actually works out a bit better for us. Hold the special drafts (Diamond, Ultimate Auction, AL & NL Auctions, etc.) on Thursday and Friday of Easter weekend and we can all fly home Saturday night right after the Main Event to make it home in time for the Easter Bunny. That solves the question for those who don't want to be away on Easter Sunday as well as for those who want to draft these highest of high stakes drafts as close to the start of the season as possible.

I will put a post on the board this week about the Diamond and Ultimate Auction Leagues and will email each of the participants as well. I have some thoughts on how we can do these leagues and I want to get feedback from the group. Some want it on the First Weekend Sunday, so let's poll the group and come up with a plan.

We're going to do it at the Bellagio as long as I can secure the space and I'm working on that already. It looks pretty good so far. Look for an email this week and provide as much feedback as possible. Thanks all.
