HAS ANYONE ELSE NOTICED INCORRECT STATS FROM LAST NIGHT?

Post by TRAIN » Sat Sep 29, 2012 9:38 am

In the Online Championship, all 3 of my leagues have incorrect point calculations in the categories from yesterday's stats.

This is very unsettling given we have 5 days left in the season. I hope all of this gets corrected very quickly.

It appears that the only thing wrong is the "change" from the previous night section. The actual stats and standings appear correct, at least in the leagues I am in where I know exactly where I stand. I think it should definitely be checked for accuracy though.

The overall standings are way off.

One team had 90 wins as of yesterday, and still has 90 wins as of today - yet he moved up +1.5 in the wins category. The SB category is also not making sense when comparing yesterday and today's team changes.

I make copies of the category standings for each day and then compare yesterday's with today's. I do this everyday. This morning I found discrepancies in all 3 of my leagues when comparing the categories' award of + or - team changes for each team in the league.

The # of wins, SB, etc. seem to be correct, but the awarding + or - team changes is definetly incorrect.

I hope this gets corrected soon.

As I said, I believe the actual standings and stats are correct. For example, it says in my main that I was +3.5 for the day yesterday, while I know I was actually -1. But, the actual standings are correct.. So I am not sure why but the "change" category is not correctly calculating the difference from yesterday to today. But, from what I can see, the stats are correct and the standings are correct...

The Overall Standings in my league are reflecting the INCORRECT awarding of + or - team points from all of the categories last night. As an example, they are using the INCORRECT awarding of + or - team points in the Wins category for my team.

The system says that I was minus -1.5 points in the Wins category - when I actually was + 1.5 in the Wins category. Yet in the league overall standings, the INCORRECT -1.5 is being used.

Train,

I am glad to see you are more detailed than I am. I noticed confusion in my league as well and started a thread on it thinking I must be an idiot (first year NFBC player) or just not understanding something. My team had 2 wins last night and it shows I lost a spot in the wins category. Based on yesterdays stats, the two teams ahead of me that could have taken that point from me could not have passed me in that category.

There are 2 other categories that this happened in.

I am concerned.

I think everbody playing in the NFBC should be concerned. At the very least, either Greg or Tom should address this thread to let us know they are looking into it.

Absolutely, a simple "We're aware of the problem and are working toward a solution" would suffice for now. Everyone knows that they want everything corrected ASAP.

I've asked our tech guys to look into this. I'll provide an update as soon as I hear from them.

I've heard back from our tech people. The standings are correct. The only issue is with the "change" column. That isn't accurate because there was an issue overnight with data. The issue was immediately recognized and fixed at 2 a.m. The standings were re-run at that time to correct the issue. When that happens, the change column doesn't reflect the change from the previous night but from the last time scoring ran. The change column, however, has no affect on standings or stats and will update when scoring runs again tonight.

Yes Tom.. That corresponds with my records as well. My current rank in the standings in all of my leagues is correct, my stats are correct for every category.... just the change column from the previous night is wrong... even though it may be a positive when it was actually a negative or vice versa, it had no effect on the actual numbers.. Thanks for looking into this.

When was the last time it was ran? The evening before? If so, it does not make sense in the overall. I'm sure everything is probably accurate, but my + / - change is not a reflection of the last time it ran in the NFBC XII overall standings.

Joe, this has happened before. Stats are run and there is something amiss.
So they are re-run and that something that was amiss becomes the +/-...
Best thing to do is disregard till normalcy comes tomorrow.

As the IT guys stated, the stats were re-run after 2 am on Saturday and overall standings were correct yesterday morning. The change column, however, was not correct at that time because those were still reflecting the standings from the previous night. Everything ran smoothly again last night and all changes are reflected from the night before. Good luck all.
