It was another great season being involved in the NFBC again this year. It is far and away the best competition in the country and winning a league here is a major accomplishment for anyone who competes against 14 other highly skilled owners.

After years of being in the NFBC and winning every other possible type of baseball roto/fantasy league for nearly 20 years (I was a part of one of the first rotisserie leagues in New York with a live draft in the Bronx, and everything done by mail and telephone including free agents), I finally won a Main Event league this year. Granted, luck played a major part in the past few days, but in the end, picking from the #15 draft position, I won my league, competing with the best.

I don't say this to brag, but only to share with those who have been competing for years and have never won, that if you take it seriously all year long and have things fall your way, it can happen. I almost gave up after last season, winning absolutely nothing in the NFBC, while winning 4 separate CBS leagues, 2 ESPN leagues, and 2 Yahoo leagues. But this year, I did not compete in any other leagues, just the NFBC. One site to go to. One site to make free agency moves. One site to follow my teams. Its no fun winning against novices. Other than a few glitches with live scoring, the guys at the NFBC put together the best high stakes fantasy sports product in the industry and I will have no reason to draft anywhere else next year.

From one humble guy, who finally won an NFBC league, I say thank you to Tom and Greg for making this all happen and say congrats to all of the NFBC winners..

Alan

Congrats Alan.

Anyone who has won one knows that NFBC titles are just a little bit sweeter, because as you said the level of competition is as good as it gets.

Congratulations, Alan.

Nice work in the contract league. I thought it was all coming down to my efforts to catch you in wins and k's. Guess I shoulda paid a little closer attention to the ole batting average category!

The best team won and your name will forever be etched onto KJ's webpage now. Congratulations!
