Assuming V-Mart gets the benefit in 2013 of the 26 games played at catcher in 2011, where do you guys have him in your catcher rankings? I have him around 8 or 9 right now.

He is catcher eligible in the NFBC in 2013 because he didn't play any games last year and according to one of the early drafts he was the 7th catcher off the board.

This is helpful. I was wondering if V-Mart was going to be catcher-eligible but, after reviewing the rules, I had concluded (incorrectly) that he was not catcher eligible. FYI, I relied on the following rule: "If a player did not appear in 20 games at any position, he qualifies at the one position he played most frequently the prior season in the majors." Because V-Mart did not appear in 20 games last season, I just assumed that he qualified at the one position he played most frequently during the prior season (i.e., 2011 - DH). I guess that rule only is meant to apply to players who did play in 2012 but not 20 games (and that if you played zero games in 2012, you qualify in 2013 for all positions for which you played 20 games in 2011).

In any event, for us folks itching to jump back into things with an early Slow Draft League, please let us know when the 2013 list of positional eligiblity is available. Thanks!

Victor Martinez caught 26 games in 2011 and thus qualifies at catcher in 2013, just like he did in 2012.

Position eligibility will be determined before the Draft Champions start in November. We are looking them over now and will post them once we have them finalized.

Sorry. Wasn't trying to push for eligability decisions, only generate some conversation on the boards and I thought V-Mart might make an interesting topic.
