It's amazing that we could sell out 2 Diamond Leagues by Thanksgiving weekend. I'm EXTREMELY happy and proud of that. Man, that's going to be a fun weekend in Las Vegas.

But I'm also proud of the fact that we've already filled up one Ultimate Auction League on Sunday, March 24th before Thanksgiving. Now we're getting interest from enough owners to consider a second Ultimate Auction League at the same time in Las Vegas. We currently have 20 owners who have shown an interest in this league, so let's keep the signups going for this one. Here's the current signup list for that event:

There is also interest in a Super Auction League that could happen that First Weekend. I don't have a time scheduled yet for that one, but if someone has some thoughts let's make it happen. I'm all ears....literally!!

Thanks all and this is already turning into a historic season in the NFBC. Let's keep things rolling along.

Greg,

Looking back to those first drafts Vegas 10 years ago, could you have ever imagined that you would have 2 $10k Leagues filled in November and a pair of $5000 Auction Leagues looking like a strong possibility? Amazing. It was a great
Time that very first weekend, this sets up to be a real record breaker.

Kicking this year off with the Viewing Party and NCAA games will be an added treat. I know that you
Had a few unique ideas for the Diamond Leagues. One of the added twists, that was kind of fun for the MTM
Super last year was drawing draft spots right before the draft. It did lead to some confusion in the initial setup,
Something I surely wouldn't want to do with a $10,000K entry fee. But why not ADD this as part of the Viewing
Party on Thursday night. Most participants should be in town by that time or maybe a phone hook up could work
If anybody cannot be there live. This will give us some Thursday night "action" and give those in the Diamond a day
Or two to consider there draft spot. Plus, everybody will know exactly where they are seated Sat/Sun. Just a thought.

Ken, that first year I was just hoping to survive and live for another day. The entire amount of revenue from these two Diamond Leagues is just short of what our entire revenue was in 2004 for the entire NFBC. Seriously. And you don't even want to know how much we lost that first year.

But that first year went off so well that people trusted us with their money and their baseball seasons. Without a good debut season, we would have been 1 and Done. Instead, we've built a great fantasy baseball community and thanks to the great ideas of our customers we've grown in so many different ways. I never would have imagined a full Ultimate League and in Year 2 we had two of them. I never would have imagined a full Diamond League and by the third year of those we had two full by Thanksgiving. Nothing surprises me anymore.

The Thursday Night NCAA Viewing Party is a DEFINITE. I'm working with the Bellagio on space and accommodations now. Because it's the First Weekend of March Madness, all of the private suites like I had for the NFFC party are booked. Every single one. But that's fine because we are going to have more than 30 folks for this party anyway and we'll need a ballroom setup. It's costly to do it like we did last year for the NCAA Viewing Party, but that's likely the way we're going to go. That way we're a 5-minute walk from the Bellagio sportsbook if we want to make more bets and we'll have enough space for the big screen, multiple games, buffet, drinks and maybe a draft selection presentation. All good ideas and we're still working on all of them, including some on-air exposure for these Diamond Leagues.

It's all good and thanks to everyone for helping us build the NFBC into the premiere fantasy baseball contest in the industry. It will be a record-breaking 2013 season, but better yet it's GOING TO BE A BLAST that First Weekend in Las Vegas!! :D

Now ONLY 7 SPOTS LEFT!! Could we really end up with two Ultimate Auction Leagues to close out the First Weekend in Las Vegas? I THINK SO!!! :D

Let's give it up for Ante Meich of Bayside, New York as he's also coming out to Las Vegas for the first time to compete in these live NFBC events. Ante has been a mainstay in New York City, but our 10th anniversary celebration is bringing him out West!! Welcome to the Wild, Wild West Ante, better known as Sin City!!

Here's the tentative list for that date and time for both Ultimate Auction Leagues:

Okay, we now have 24 owners signed up for the Sunday, March 24th NFBC Ultimate Auction League with the addition of Matthew Shepherd. Ross Longood and his brother are also interested in this one, although their original plans were to come to Las Vegas on the Second Weekend. They will watch the signups for this one and adjust accordingly, but they are interested. So we're moving closer to a second full Ultimate Auction League on Sunday evening. Contact me at [email protected] or sign up online if you have some interest in this one. Thanks all.

Okay, it's time to take a look at the Ultimate Auction League again and see if there is enough interest for two full leagues. I know there is, but I'm not sure if we can fill two leagues at the same time on Sunday night. In fact, there are a handful of owners here who said they would do a second Ultimate Auction League if it were at a different time.

So let me just throw this out there: Friday night seems kind of open and if there is any interest in the Ultimate Auction League that night I'd be open for it. So then we'd have one on Friday night and one on Sunday night. Again, I'm still trying for two Ultimate Auction Leagues on Sunday night, but this is just a thought if anyone is interested.

We still have plenty of time to fill up two Ultimate Auction Leagues, but I'd rather be pro-active than just sit back and not get this second one filled. So just a thought because I know there are at least 4 owners who would do 2 of these on that First Weekend in Las Vegas. Thanks for considering all options everyone and let me know your feelings on all of this.

Okay, we do have some folks sniffing around and asking about the Ultimate Auction League and we'll still try to fill both of these on Sunday night, March 24th. But just to be on the safe side, I want to see if folks could do this on another night as well. I know we can fill two leagues if we don't have them both on Sunday night, March 24th. There are a handful of owners who would do TWO Ultimate Auction Leagues if they were on different dates and times.

We could consider Saturday night at 5 pm PT in Las Vegas, but we do have the 2nd Diamond League that night.

We could consider Friday night, but we do have the Auction Championship and the NFBC 12-Team Super then.

I'm not sure how many could do Monday morning, but it's an option.

I'll take any feedback, but I'd say we have at least 5 owners interested in doing two Ultimate Auctions if the schedule fits. What do you think?

Would have to speak to Lowell but Friday evening, Saturday evening or Sunday morning would probably work for us. Monday morning not so much.

Okay, this is a good start. I know that a second night isn't perfect for everyone, but let's consider a Saturday Night Ultimate Auction League if we can't fill up a second one on Sunday night. Let's see what February brings and then make a decision. We have at least 5 owners who are interested in 2 auctions if the schedule works out. Now some of them are also in the Saturday night Diamond League, so that doesn't help, but not everyone is. If you are flexible and could do a Saturday Ultimate Auction let me know and we'll just see how many we get. Maybe that works out.

Thanks all. Here's the tentative list for now:

NBC ULTIMATE AUCTION LEAGUE
Bellagio Las Vegas
Sunday, March 24, 4 p.m. PST
1. Lindy Hinkelman, Greencreek, Idaho
2. Will Tyrer, Beverly Hills, California (interested in 2)
3. Kevin Kirves, Lexington, Kentucky
4. Dave Potts, Auburn, Alabama
5. Ken Norred, Ashland, Alabama
6. Josh Blumenreich, Brooklyn, New York (could do 2)
7. Jon Stadtmueller, Little Rock, Arkansas
8. KJ Duke, San Diego, California

The current time slot is the only one that works for us at the moment.
We are also considered tentative for this Auction in that we have
now made a commitment to the $2500 12 Team Super on Friday evening.
