wil middlebrooks; 24yrs old, 160 lifetime AAA at bats, 2012, 267 mlb at bats, 34r 15hr 54 rbi, bb% 4.5 k% 24.5 ISO .221 C% 76.2, current nfbc adp, early rd 8, top 10 3B.
trevor plouffe; 27 yrs old, >1400 lifetime AAA at bats, 2012, 422 ab 56r 24hr 55rbi, bb% 8 k% 19.8 ISO .220 C% 80.9, current nfbc adp, 100 picks and several 3B later than middlebrooks.

I like him, but the Red Sox would need an injury for him to get a chance or they will need to move someone. He could easily pass Doubront and Morales. He is a player to keep an eye on as he looked very good last year in the bullpen with an improved fastball.gpchurchill wrote:good read. thanks.

I don't see Tazawa in the rotation -- but he'll be a guy they use in high leverage situation in the 'pen. They'd have to stretch him out and we saw how well that worked with Bard. Plus, with Webster, De La Rosa and Barnes on the way, they can fill in (if necessary) and go the lock-down bullpen route.
