The huge 7 year 175 million extension has been haulted due to an apparent elbow issue. The volocity is definitely lower and have to wonder if a Tommy John surgery is around the corner for the King.

If King Felix truly has an elbow problem isn't it time to trade him to the Yankee's for their entire farm system, watch them sign him to a 10 Year - $272 Million Dollar Deal and then watch the whole thing implode?

In all seriousness, I hope Felix really is OK and continues to dominate for a long time in a M's Uniform. Its good for baseball and watching ACE's do their thing year after year is awesome, regardless of their uniform.

As a diehard Mariner fan, I really appreciate the thought of either of the two outcomes that Max, the eternal optimist, has come up with above. And the ever- optimistic Bill James as well: http://blogs.seattletimes.com/mariners/ ... m-in-2013/. But I have to say I will be pleasently surprised if Bill is right...

They have added some decent offensive players (Morales/Morse) .. but its all about Felix, if they ever have a chance of contending.
