Kudos for the success of all of the slow drafts. Remember the days of "great 15 team NFBC style Mock Draft tonight"? It seems as if the references to NFBC ADPs outnumber references to Mock Draft Central ADPs 10 to 1. With 65 drafts already rolling (or whatever the number is) and 44 complete I think it would be awesome to tweak the output some. Two features that I would like to see are:

1. More choices for the "By Time Period" category. Right now the choices are "Overall" or "Since March 1". How about a "Since Feb 15" or a "last 7 days" choice?

2. The addition of a trend column / category. Would be kind of neat to see the trend on Bryce Harper, etc. With 10-15 pay drafts happening every week you do have significant data and I can't help but think that this would all result in even more exposure for the NFBC.

We have to weigh the benefits of the ADPs for the NFBC and for you owners who are paying to compete in this contest. I agree, the exposure we've received from the ADPs has been FANTASTIC. I was just listening to SiriusXM's Fantasy Channel last night and every news clip has the NFBC's ADP after it. "Felix Hernandez finalized his $175 million deal with the Mariners today. His ADP in the National Fantasy Baseball Championship is 33.21." It's great.

We could slice and dice this data as much as needed to show trends and if needed for our shows that's what we'll do. But slicing this data too much for players might be like giving the answers to your ACT away for free. It might be like giving away TOO MUCH information for those owners who aren't preparing early or aren't participating in these drafts. It's also why I post only 6 rounds of draft data. I don't want to give away TOO MUCH information.

We will weigh the pros and cons of this going forward, but as we start up the 12-team Online Championship drafts, you'll get a new set of data to compare with the old ones. And I think those ADPs will be the standard for the March drafts since they are the most recent. Again, we are trying to give everyone this data because YOU FOLKS generated the data. But it's up to you to look into the numbers further and make them work for you.

The reason we first started posting these ADPs for NFBC and NFFC owners is because some folks in the industry were gathering our draft results and then selling them as part of site subscriptions and it didn't seem fair that some folks had this data and others didn't. So we decided to give it for free to those owners who actually generated the data: The NFBC and NFFC owners. That's how all this started and now it's turned into a benefit for our contests via the exposure we're getting throughout the industry. And it's warranted since these ADPs are 10 times better than MDC's data. That's just a fact. But how far we want to take that data without compromising the contest is another question we're still looking into.
