NFBC Message Boards

It's hard to believe, but in ONLY 35 DAYS many of us will be in Las Vegas preparing for NFBC drafts and stepping up to the window to place our bets on the first games of March Madness!! Let me just give you some advice on the latter one: This year's NCAA Tournament is WIDE OPEN and picking winners will not be easy!! Okay, you've been forewarned.

In fact, always bet on the opposite team that I bet on!! I'm terrible at this True or False experience. I always pick the wrong team. But hey, I have fun doing it.

But it's hard to believe we are only 35 days away. NCAA Viewing Party is 35 days away. Auctions are 36 days away. Main Events are 36-37 days away. Opening Day is 45 days away. Man, this is coming up fast. LOCK IN EVERYONE, DRAFT DAY IS NEAR!!

Get your travel plans locked in and get your Cheat Sheets updated. Baseball is right around the corner. Thanks all and Tom and I will be in Las Vegas 35 days from now to greet you to Sin City. CAN'T WAIT!!

Greg, great job picking up the mantle and running with the Countdown this year.
Looking forward to seeing this each day.

However, if you are going to run with this, please do it right.
A few basic rules and principles we've all agreed to live by with the Countdown in previous seasons:


1 - There must be a Mets tie-in as such.....


Only 34 Days 'til the 2013 NFBC.....



2 - There must be an NFBC tie-in that also ties into the Mets tie-in as such......


When we get our next opportunity to chase the $100,000 grand prize......



3 - And finally and of course most importantly, there must be the obligatory boob pic that ties into both.....


.....and when in Vegas, please try to stay out of the strip clubs until after you draft.



Obviously just kidding. All kidding aside however, it's less than 5 weeks 'til Vegas and I can't wait.

PS - One more thing, you should have started with number 41.

Greg- You have to be kidding about not being able to put a picture up here It is time for a little lesson if that's really the case...

1) google for picture you want . Google images Greg Ambrosius.
2) RIGHT CLICK , save image as, save file in folder at left of screen (something you know how to get to)
3) go to message board, post a reply, choose UPLOAD ATTACHMENT then Choose file (go to directory you saved img to) double click that file
4) you will see it in the filename: box below. Click the Add the file box.
5) go to preview and see if it is there. Oh it's there alright

6) there you go easy peasy no more excuses !

Ahhhhh, watching Duke lose yesterday reminded me of all the favorites I've bet on through the years on the first day of March Madness. Now ONLY 32 DAYS until I get to lose more money in the Bellagio sportsbook. Oh well, at least I'll have a bunch of you folks around me with the same losing tickets! I'm going all underdogs this year!!

Of course, with Greg starting the Countdown at number 35, and therefore neglecting the opportunity for us to celebrate the immortal numbers 41 and 36 in true Mets fashion, we'll use this number as our queue to throw out another of the greatest lefties in baseball history and the 3rd member of that truly historic rotation......

PS - Doughy, there was a lot of fist pumping in the "good part" of Farmingville.
