Ridiculously bad for nyy. No depth there(unless you are high on juan rivera or matt diaz)

Yanks will make a deal before depending on Rivera or Diaz, I would target Arizonas G Parra if I was GM .

Nice call...they need more power, but Parra has 20/20 potential and good glove, which would be helpful.

I'm sure there are some other interesting options out there in addition to this. If Granderson is back in late May/early June, they may not need to do too much.

Maybe they should call Grady Sizemore???

Good thing Mark mitigated that loss by drafting 12,997 other players. :D

Vernon Wells is available and fits their new strategy of adding old, washed up players....

yes, there are some interesting options some of which are cheap like Soriano and Wells mentioned earlier , but one interesting option in addition to Parra is his teammate J Kubel, or the National's T Moore,

Soriano & Wells are cheap ? Or are you referring to their play on the field

I think they should go after one of those DBacks. Parra is better defender, but I think Kubel is underrated. I watched plenty of DBack gm's last yr and recall Kubes having alot of OF assists. His left handed power bat would make it seem like Swish never left too.

I mentioned cheap with Soriano due to the probability that the Cubs would eat a significant amount of his salary owed to him in order to make a deal

You know the feeling when you're in an auction, and one of the better owners has the high bid on a player you really don't like so you are hoping the guy gets stuck with him -- and someone else ups it by $1 at going twice and ends up with the player?

I bet there will be 28 GM's with that same feeling if Theo eats cash to send Soriano to the Yanks.
