A Fast/Slow Draft...SOLD OUT !

Post by DOUGHBOYS » Sat Mar 02, 2013 9:40 am

I am trying to put together a last fast/slow draft for friends. A draft that'll have an eight hour, clock but picks are expected to be timely.
If interested in knowing that fellow drafters will be courteous, responsible, and timely, this draft is for you.
It'll be a $150 draft and start the day after it fills. But hurry, the deadline for slow drafts is March 7,

1. Roger Martin
2. Bill Cleavenger
3. Joe Berg

I told myself never again after last yr's....well, not gonna go there. I have a feeling this one will be different. And from the looks of some of the guys already signed up, definitely a tough one. But I need this in prep. of my 1st Main, so count me in.
Always be closing.

Dan: I've been a fan of your posts. Just finished the $1K Slow Draft and hadn't planned on another, but this promises to be a good group and I could use another test before returning to the MTM Invitational. (Would be happy to see MTM join this one too.) Please count me in. Marc Perlmutter

I think most of us are in the same boat, Jim.. traveling to Vegas at some point that week. Hopefully we will be done by then... These Doughboys drafts are quick!

Let's get this thing filled today, get everybody signed up and get started as soon as we can. Be nice to be drafting tomorrow, but I'm sure that's improbable. Hopefully we have a good group that doesn't mind putting this NEAR the top of their TO-DO list everyday until it's completed. For those that haven't drafted in this new fast/slow format, the goal is to keep it moving in a timely fashion. Three-four rounds per day with a few kick-ass nights thrown in will expedite the process. Assuming everybody has jobs and family, there can be more pressing issues than this game we play, and that is totally understandable. BUT, if there is nothing pressing when it's your turn, please pick in a timely manner. If you know your going to be away for a while, be courteous to everyone else and let us know. Let someone have your phone number. This is a great way to draft for diehards, especially those wanting to get one in before the live events. Looking at the signups so far, it should be a great draft with great chat.

One side note for anyone not sure of the fast/slow pace. If you're going to use the phrase "it's a slow draft, I have 8 hours to pick", "PLEASE, DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS LEAGUE".

If Gekko is in on this one, count me OUT! :P Besides, he has no friends that are on this list.
