SOLD OUT: NFBC MAIN EVENT AT 435 TEAMS

Posted: Sat Mar 16, 2013 5:21 pm
by Greg Ambrosius
Okay, we're definitely going to finish with 11 full leagues on Saturday, March 30th, which means we'll lead off with 165 teams. We also have 4 full leagues for Wednesday, March 27th, adding another 60 teams. And despite Easter being the next day, we're going to have at least 13 full leagues for the Main Event on Saturday, March 30th.

Now the key is how we fill those leagues. As you can see from below, here's what we need for a perfect fit in each city and a total of 29 leagues and 435 teams. I like how this is working out. We need:

Or we need just one more team to make it a perfect 28 leagues. But with two weeks to go, I highly doubt we'll stop now with the chance to fill each city perfectly. I don't know if we can do it, but we sure can try. So let's shoot for full leagues in each city and then close things off. If you're planning on getting in the Second Weekend Main Event, you have 1 chance or 16 chances!! Do you feel lucky? ;)

Here's the current signup list, so plan accordingly. Thanks all.

Okay, our good friend Richard Van Fleet just grabbed a Main Event Online on Saturday, March 30th to go along with his Las Vegas Main Event next Saturday. That officially puts us at 419 teams for the NFBC Main Event!! :D :D

Okay, we need 1 MORE SPOT FOR MARCH 23RD MAIN EVENT ONLINE!!

Then to make the Second Weekend work out perfectly in each city, we need:

5 MORE TEAMS IN LAS VEGAS
5 MORE TEAMS IN NEW YORK
5 MORE TEAMS ONLINE

That would be the perfect match and we'll do all we can in the next week to finish that way. That would put us at 435 teams, giving us a little extra $'s to add to the overall prize pool. Let's see if we can do it. Thanks all.

Sign up Online for any of those 3 locations on Saturday, March 30th. We have plenty of time to fill up a 29th league.

Okay, the first 420 teams are guaranteed a spot in the NFBC Main Event. But we are trying for a perfect fit in each city on the Second Weekend as well. We just added another team to New York City and now have 4 spots there for a 5th full league. We don't have space for any more leagues in NYC, so this is it there. We're at 421 teams now and trying for 435. Here's what we have left:

5 MORE TEAMS IN LAS VEGAS
4 MORE TEAMS IN NEW YORK
5 MORE TEAMS ONLINE

Sign up soon if you want any of these last 14 spots. Thanks all.

One signup of each location came in last night for the 29th Main Event league, so we now have ONLY 12 SPOTS LEFT!! It's a perfect breakdown, too. Let's see if we can hit it perfectly. Here's what's left in the March 30th Main Event for a shot at the $100,000 grand prize:

4 MORE TEAMS IN LAS VEGAS
4 MORE TEAMS IN NEW YORK
4 MORE TEAMS ONLINE

Sign up online to secure a spot before this one officially fills out. Thanks all.

NOW ONLY 9 SPOTS LEFT FOR THE SECOND WEEKEND MAIN EVENT!!

We are convinced that we are going to finish with 435 teams and 29 leagues for the NFBC's Main Event. We got 3 more signups yesterday and we finalized the list of owners previously to have a solid 426 owners now. We have 4 full Online leagues and we think we can fill up 5 full New York leagues. So the final Online signups could hook up with Las Vegas to form that last league. We have 40 owners in Las Vegas now -- 5 spots left. But we'll gladly hook up those last 5 spots on the phone if needed.

Okay, here's what we have left:

4 SPOTS LEFT IN NEW YORK
5 SPOTS LEFT IN LAS VEGAS

We can hook anyone up via phone/online if you sign up Online. Let's sell this baby out...plus 1!!

Our apologies to everyone who is still waiting for their league to finalize and who are also waiting for their draft spots. We thought we'd get to 435 teams over the weekend, and while we're close, we're still not quite there. Let's say we have 428 teams signed up for sure and a few more owners who are finalizing their schedules now. Several owners out here in Las Vegas are going to take a 2nd team and we should be close to finalizing this. We added another team in New York City today and have 72 teams there. Can we add three more to make 5 full leagues and then do a Las Vegas/Online hookup? That's our goal. Thanks all.

Okay, here's where we stand for openings:

5 MORE TEAMS IN LAS VEGAS
3 MORE TEAMS IN NEW YORK
+1 ONLINE (likely going to Las Vegas league)

WE WILL HAVE 435 TEAMS SOON!! :D

Okay, we waited as long as we could to fill up this 29th league because we wanted to do everything we could to fill up each city perfectly. We are close.

We have 1 SPOT LEFT IN NEW YORK
We have 2 SPOTS LEFT IN LAS VEGAS/ONLINE

If we can get one more NFBC team in New York we'll have 5 full leagues there. Let's do it.

We have 40 teams in Las Vegas and we'll finish with a handful of owners on the phone/teleconference for that 3rd league. But all is good.

We have at least 3 teams interested in these final spots, so let's fill it up. Look for draft spots for these final leagues tonight. I feel comfortable in saying that. Sorry for the delay everyone, but this allowed us to get this done perfectly. Thanks all and good luck.

THE NFBC MAIN EVENT HAS SOLD OUT FOR A 9TH STRAIGHT SEASON!!

In fact, this year's 435 teams are the most in NFBC history, matching our total from 2010. We will have 29 full leagues and 435 teams battling for the $100,000 grand prize. The overall prize pool will be bumped slightly thanks to the one extra league. Both weekends filled almost perfectly this year with only one phone connection to a live event in a city and that was Las Vegas League 3 this Saturday as 10 owners will be at the Bellagio and 5 on the phone/online. Great job everyone.

KDS deadline is tonight for Las Vegas/Online 3 and you will get draft spots first thing tomorrow morning. Wow, what a season. Thanks all.
