I'm Looking For Feedback On NY, Tampa Venues

Now that Draft Day 2006 is in the books, it's time to plan for 2007 and we've already reached out to several host sites for our four cities. Yes, I did say four as I plan to keep four cities on the agenda for 2007 and keep one draft site in Florida. I need your help to decide if we stay in Tampa or possibly check out Orlando (if we can find the right host hotel).
Anyway, I'm looking for feedback from our NFBC participants from 2006 and even from those who may be joining us in 2007. Any and all feedback is welcome. Here we go:
1) It's possible that we may have outgrown the space available at the New York Hilton for 2007. If we decide to move from the Hilton, where would you like to see the NFBC reside? We did the Javits Center in 2004 and there is space available there for 2007. Is that a viable option or are there better choices? Is staying in the city the best option for the NFBC and NFFC or is a venue outside of the city a better option?
2) For those participants who went to Tampa this year, would you return to a Florida draft site in 2007 or return to one of our other host cities?
3) We are going to return to a Florida city in 2007 as I believe creating a live draft around a spring training site still makes sense. Do you have a preference for the host city in Florida? Anything we could do better in 2007 in Florida to attract more participants?
4) Any suggestions for Chicago? We are again negotiating with the Donald E. Stephens Center for baseball and the Oakbrook Marriott for football, but do you have other preferences?
5) We have tentatively secured space at the Flamingo for 2007, but nothing is finalized yet. Las Vegas is getting tougher and tougher for conventions with so many hotels being remodeled and imploded, so my options are tougher there. I'm trying to stay on the Strip and allow you guys a chance to stay wherever you want, and so far that looks possible for both events in 2007.
Any other thoughts or comments are welcome. We expect to increase from this year's 330 teams for the main event, but I expect the increase to be reasonable. I don't plan to double in size overnite and in fact I hope to keep this manageable so that I know each and every one of my participants. The association with Major League Baseball will create high visibility for the NFBC, but that doesn't mean we have to jump to unreasonable levels for the main event in 2007. That never was nor is it now my goal with this event.
Good luck everyone and let's get it on. Opening Day is just five days away. Let the competition for the $100,000 begin.
