After 3 years why does STATS still Blow??

I'm pretty worried about this DL on friday if you replace the same player slot. Two out of three of my leagues from the Las Vegas drafts where entered wrong. Its been fix but the problem is I don't trust this company any more. If I end up having to track every move that Stats does than whats the point? Greg and Tom will come screaming in defending Stats as a great company. I say Bullshit!!! Two out of three teams entered wrong??? I know Greg or Tom will say we fixed it so whats the problem. The problem is why I had to even contact them about this crappy job by Stats in the first place!!! Come on Greg they can't get it right after 3 years. What a bunch of do- do!!!!

Don't be worried. Be happy. I have confidence in both Tom and Greg. They have handled all issues swiftly and professionally. Life is too short to worry about what may happen. Have fun.

Walla,
Your posts keep getting funnier to me, though I don't know why. But I do agree with you that STATS could put a little effort into this.
I have asked for a couple of simple modifications through three seasons of baseball and two seasons of football, and I have yet to get a response.
It goes like this. Greg notes recommendation. Fordwards to STATS. STATS ignore them because it would require them to lift a finger to make the site more usable. Then I forget about it. Then I remember, and I hate them for it. You just reminded me again.

I agree STATS hasn't been perfect. However, they have been accomodating to minor changes requested by Greg/Tom. Some features that we enjoy today weren't around the first season. Kudos for that.
As far as inputing draft results, I might be wrong, but doesn't the Krause staff handle that chore?

Human error...there's a reason the draft is held more than a week before the season begins.

And they did add the 'pick up player button' which I rallied for a year for. But seriously, I don't think this is STATS, they run the service. I don't think they run the data entry. And before you get to high and mighty about a few data entry mistakes, try and enter 9000 players across 330 teams and not make some mistakes...

God, I hate to feel like I am defending the devil but overall, I am happy with Stats. I ahve leagues using ESPN, CBS, Yahoo & TQStats so I see a bunch of services. My guess is that Tom & Greg are far more demending than any of their other clients. I also suspect STATs spends more time and effort per dollar earned in the NFBC than any other series of leagues they service - and it is by a lot.
In how many places are complaints ignored? Bunches - god knows almost every other service in fact.
In here, problems get resolved. There are glitches but not all that many and none fester. Tom & Greg are putting restrictions and requiredments on STATs that no other league places. They do it because we ask for it. About the only feature I would like is updated standings but, you know, I can wait until the next morning every day except maybe a real late September.

Walla, buddy, you've got to learn how to do a better job expressing a complaint or concern on these boards. It doesn't do any good to exclaim in the subject header that Stats "blows", then vent with non-actionable criticisms like "I don't trust this company anymore" or "Bullshit!!!". Explain your concern rationally, and lose the vague, emotionally-charged rants. You're much more likely to get a change made with that approach than with this thread.

OK the softer kinder Walla Walla. Why do I feel that Stats doesn't love me? I mean I keep paying money to the NFBC which pays Stats. But Stats just doesn't care about the love I keep sending them in the way of money. I work hard at my job and if I couldn't do it right every time I'd be fired. But Stats doesn't seem to care. I guess I'm just tired of being used and abused. Thats OK though Stats. You make alot more money than I do and have a lower standard. You have UFS saying its too hard so I guess your right. Taking the money is the important part. Right UFS? Actually delivering the product is secondary. Sorry to have bothered you Stats. I'll keep sending that money. I guess that makes us even.

Do not blame STATS for a single error to any roster mistake. That was all KP entering the teams. The mistakes were for a variety of reasons, some of which means the wrong sticker was chosen at the draft (wrong Alex Gonzalez sticker, for instance), or wrong number input by our data entry guys at KP, or just plain miscues. EVERY mistake on rosters was ours, not STATS' (okay, they had Dan Uggla in the wrong position).
We aim for perfection and we ask STATS to help us reach our goal. I have no complaints, but then you expected to hear that John. I wish there was a more foolproof and easier way to enter rosters for 35+ live draft teams and 15 satellite leagues, but errors happen when humans enter every single player code.
I don't worry about the Friday DL moves. If anything was easy to program, it's having a 12:01 a.m. Friday deadline for players who are officially on MLB's disabled list.

After entering one league of 400 players, I want to take a baseball bat to my head. It is so mind numbing to enter these players.
There are going to be typos when you enter them fast and wrong labels.
As I already posted, Greg should get kudos for having the label company put the ID #'s on the labels. I thought the league uploading was pretty fast this year compared to the past for the MAIN event. There are no labels for SAT leagues, so those take a bit longer.

Nice try Greg. Vicente Padilla AL only put on my team NL only for Juan Padilla? There was no sticker for Vicente Padilla for the NL only draft. Plus I reviewed the board and signed it.
Maybe the codes Stats gave you for the stickers were wrong. That would make more sense. After three years I think I can say Stats has done a lousy job! There will be more problems down the road this year. UFS if you can't do the job because its too hard than get out. People don't pay for excuses!

I am curious though, as to why you keep paying $$$$$ if you are so unhappy with how things are done around here????
Maybe you should "get out" Walla Walla, just a thought. I know when I am unhappy with a business, I choose to NEVER associate with them again if they don't appease me and their service isn't to my liking, no matter how much I want to be involved with them.
I totally understand your frustrations but as The Lollygaggers said, complaining this way with "juvenile" words such as blow and b-s will not get you anywhere.

For 2 years now the site has always been up, the FAABS have had no hitches, the stats compile correctly and various improvements have been met. You no like ? take a stand and vote with your feet already ! The padillas got screwed up, oh the humanity

Let's see, how many Alex Gonzalez' Brian Andersons, Chris Youngs, and Luis Gonzalez' are there again? Plus about 22 guys named Hernandez, and we expect every person in the system to be perfect when grabbing labels in 10 seconds or less? Amazing how 99.5% of the things done right get no credit. Hats off to KP and STATS on getting a ton of stuff done manually in record time, and responding rapidly to any clarifications when needed.
