I was a guest on ESPN940 based in Fresno, CA (central CA) during their 3:00-5:00 slot last Thursday talking about fantasy baseball. It was a dream come true and the first question asked was regarding my experience in fantasy baseball. I told them that I currently have two teams in the NFBC, the National Fantasy Baseball Championship, to which my partner/buddy said something to the effect of "Oh yes, the grand NFBC!" Even though I've only been a satellite guy so far I one day hope to be able to pony up the cash and take the plunge to Las Vegas.
The station has a huge 50,000 watt signal and has a wide range of listeners. The show I was on focuses a lot on local sports but he wants to bring us in once a week for around 20 minutes. The first show was a ton of fun and will not doubt improve in the future. I touted Chris Davis, Michael Morse, and Matt Moore so I didn't come off like a fool. I'm more of the stats guy and my buddy is more the support/comedian. The host even mentioned on air that he's looking forward to having us for fantasy football as well (I'm wayyyy more a baseball guy though).
Anyway, the show streams live on ESPN940 Fresno through their web site and we will be on next Tuesday (I believe, but not confirmed). I'll most likely be mentioning the NFBC in the future as well because of the format and because I consider my two teams, along with my home league, my "money leagues". Fun stuff!
