Las Vegas AL Auction League Update

Guys, I think JackStraw is going to join us in the AL Auction League in Las Vegas. He sent me a hilarious e-mail last night after our Live Chat and said it was time to learn how to do an auction and $1,250 was a good price to pay for a lesson. I sent him an e-mail this morning and we'll confirm his signup soon, hopefully.
Once that's done, I'm going to pick the draft order including a 12th team and go from there. With any luck, we'll get a late signup. If not, we'll go with 11 and talk about the third place payout. Dollar values would be affected slightly by the loss of one team, but I think I can still get one more industry guy to fill out that league. Thanks guys for your patience, but we're getting there, so plan for a great draft.

Okay, it's official!!! We have our 11th team for the AL Auction League in Las Vegas as George Beason of Tennessee has taken the plunge and will make his Rotisserie debut in Las Vegas. George is also signed up to compete on Saturday in the NFBC's main event, so it's a good day to "play two." Just so you guys know, I gave George all kinds of strategy tips and he's now ready for the big-time. Watch out as he has the Ambrosius Strategy firmly in grasp.
We also have one more team who wants to get in, but he's a National League guy only. I'm working the phone lines to see if a trade can be made, thus filling up both Auction Leagues with two days to spare. I will pick the draft order once that is completed, if it's completed.
But plan for 12 teams now guys in the AL Auction League as something will definitely work out.

God! What have I done?!?!?! I am trying to crunch all of my numbers for the regular draft... And now, I have to learn how to do an auction!!!! My last two days at work are going to be completely shot... I have done absolutely nothing this afternoon except read and learn all of the rules for the auction. If my boss only knew what I was doing behind these closed (and locked) doors

Anyway, I hope this learning experience turns into a profitable one, and remember a blind hog will find an acorn every once in awhile Best of luck to you all!
Now, back to this dang spreadsheet and figuring out the quickest way to sort out the AL players from the NL players...

I think we'll have a resolution for the AL Auction League tonight, so everyone plan for a 12-team AL auction and a 13-team NL auction. I'm meeting with Todd tonight and he is considering the offer and then Wayne Barber of California would move into Todd's NL slot. I'll let everyone know first thing tomorrow morning and post the auction order then.

I'm working tomorrow than catching a flight.
I won't have a computer with me in Las Vegas so I guess I'll find out at the draft.

It's official. Todd Zola has agreed to move back to the American League in Las Vegas and Wayne Barber of California has now entered the National League Auction League. We have a perfect 13 for the NL and a perfect 12 for the AL. I will pick the AL draft order soon.
Thanks Todd for making this work. In a contest where there is no trading allowed, you have been traded twice in two weeks.
See ya all on Friday night and be there no later than 3:45 to go over all the rules. Thanks.

Greg, is there some reason why I was taken out of this league?

no big deal either way, I'm staying at The Rio so I'll just pop my head in before the draft to make sure you have enough, thanks
